I support Chris (albeit nominally) via his Patreon, as I enjoy his content and he puts a lot of research into the work.

I keep up with Comictom101 since I like to know what's been selling in the comic world and the types of stuff current collectors are chasing. Yes, it's a lot of carnival barking but that's kind of the point of the channel.

@Gem_Mint has a good channel that I've subscribed to. Content posted almost every day and professionally produced.

    Best post so far!!!

  2. 2020 was a good( great) year for the King of IMSM.

2021 has started off with a BANG - biggest eBay sales since mid 2009 and that 2009 sales included 21 CGC/PGX

    Surfers and Spideys!!!

I know many Americans had a horrible 2020 so I stand with them and wish them all well in 2021!!!

    Interesting eBay question...

I bought five books from a comic seller on eBay.

He messages me that the four of the five books are "out of stock" and is issuing me a refund for the four out of five books.

The fifth book was a $5 add on that I saw and said, "why not" and threw it in the basket.

I asked the comic seller to cancel the fifth book as it was merely an add on and I was primarily interested in the four books that he says are, "out of stock"...

Side note... the four books that are, "out of stock" sold for 3x the value since I bought them from other sellers.  Whether or not that comes into play is unknown.

Seller has only refunded me the money for the four books that he is out of stock and has not responded to my request to cancel the fifth book.

What steps if any would the gracious public of comics general suggest?

If I have to 'eat' this purchase then I will suck it up... but this kind of twists me.

You can easily get out of this....

If not, do what they do to me....just "Return" it.

You really need to put restored or trimmed in the title.  You have to realize that the majority of people do not read, they want things spoon-fed to them and do not realize the accountability of their actions until it is too late.

As far as naming people by their eBay handle...

You also need to come up with fun responses like this:

Thanx for the reply. Better than what I usually get here.

Anyway, I did not have enough characters in the Title line to put extra words, thus I relied on the "You Grade It" to put everyone on Notice that this was not my usual Uber grade stuff.

More tomorrow - tough night - headed for repose.
