Famous Funnies #32 (F/VF): $175. First appearance of Phantom Magician (costume hero) in 1937 - over a year before Superman! SOLD! Nice clean cover with good colors, store stamps FC & BC, 1/2" to 1" tear on three page edges, OW Pgs.

Thing #7 (F-): $1,200. $900. $750. Not yet Classic Injury to eye cover! SOLD! Nice gloss and colors FC. Small 1/4" tear top FC, creases URHC FC, OW/W Pgs.

Phantom Stranger #5 (G): $300. One of the best covers of the run! SOLD! The Good - Cover has nice colors. The Bad - Tan inside covers, CF taped in (poorly, so edge extends beyond book), lots of wear on both FC & BC, bottom edges of CF folded over, C/OW Pgs.

War Comics #11 (G-): $400. Classic Flamethrower cover! SOLD! Tan inside covers, water damage top BC (1" x 3.75") reducing in size thru to FC (1" x .5"), 5" tear FC which has been taped on inside FC, 1.75" tape inside FC along edge, book is slightly warped/stiff, tears around both staples, bottom staple slightly rusty, C/OW Pgs.

One last book for the night - great cover on a tough book in really rough shape! Crime Mysteries #2 (fair): $500. $400. $300 $250. $200 $150 "Classic monster with girl in red dress" cover! OK, I made that up. The Good - Great colors and gloss on FC (where have you heard that before!?!). It's complete. The Bad - cover loose, spine splits and pieces out spine, spine is fragile, pcs out bottom FC, 1" tear right edge FC, OW Pgs.

Crime Does Not Pay #27 (VG): $250. Classic cover (according to OSPG)! SOLD! Bright cover color, nice gloss, tanning inside covers, 6 Siamese pgs, pgs torn apart I assume by original buyer to read comics, so there's "pieces" out top 6 pgs (does not affect stories), T/OW pgs.

Vault of Horror #19 (VG+): $400. SOLD! Copy looks Fine, but warping lowers grade. Really bright colors and gloss on covers! CF loose top staple, books has a slight waviness (moisture exposure?), warping FC, book is slightly stiff, warping top FC, creasing along spine, OW Pgs. "Waviness" hard to describe/show - took a photo to try to show on URHC. Scanner "smooths" FC waves, so be sure to look at last image.

Comedy #13 (G) $70. $60. $50. $45. $40. Cool Nazi story - filler copy. Taped spine, CF loose, bottom corners off 3/4ths pgs, bottom pgs brittle, dirty BC, I'm guessing this is not original staple - don't know, but let's assume it's not, C/OW pgs.

War Comics (Dell) #3 (G-): $100. $75. $60 $50. Cool early war comic! Spine wear, pcs out spine, top & bottom staples loose from cover, small stain edge last few pgs, OW Pgs.

Let's start out with an ugly book! Boy #11 (incomplete): $150. Classic Iron Jaw cover! Best cvr of the run (though #10 is pretty cool)! SOLD! Well, the cover is there - have a coverless copy? About best thing about this copy! Three CF missing, 3 pigs missing pcs (two 1" x 1.25" & one 1" x 4") - all affect stories, 2 pgs very moldy, moldy edges on most pgs, C/OW pgs. Did I mention it's a classic cover?

Rangers #26 (G-): $450. $375. Classic WWII/GGA cover! Book presents really well with nice colors, but has major issue - moisture. SOLD! The Good - Orange in scan is a little brighter than book, but it does have a strong color strike. The Bad - Stains all over FC, moisture/water damage cover and pages (whole book has been exposed to moisture), Someone punched a hole thru entire book (from "s" in newsstand BC to under right leg FC) with no paper loss, there's a dent from BC thru 3/4th book (from "a" in all BC), Pcs missing FC, bug chews on spine, May be hard to see in scan, but there's two med pcs missing along in clouds on bottom spine, Rusty staple, OW Pgs. Yeah, it's seen better days!

Comedy #11 (VG+) $300 $250 $220. $200. $170. Vagabond & Stuporman app. Another tough Timely! SOLD! Spine roll, bottom staple loose CF, little rust bottom staple, bug chews edge FC, OW/W Pgs.

Authentic Police Cases #15 (VG-): $430. Matt Baker cvr/art. SOLD! Top staple popped cover, 1.5" tear top FC, 1" split bottom spine, OW/W Pgs.

Is This Tomorrow? nn & Cardinal Mindszenty Lot $150. SOLD! Is This Tomorrow? nn (VG/F): Early Schulz art. Vertical crease down center FC about 2/3rds from top, wear around bottom staple, CF loose bottom staple, C/OW Pgs. Cardinal Mindszenty (VG) Two 3/4" tears bottom FC, a "<" tear near right edge FC just above left ear in blue (approx 1" each side), C/OW Pgs.

Starting 2nd group for tonight - scanning/inspecting/grading is taking longer than I thought! First up a Timely! Captain America #72 (VG) $1100. These later Caps are tough to find! SOLD! Reds in scan are brighter than book, but it has nice colors, chips out FC, rust on bottom staple, small chip on LLHC is barely hanging on, OW Pgs.
