  1. Happy to have my low grade copy with "delicate" pages!
  2. Well, if you have only one left in box, this is a good choice - and one I still need! Agree, I'd leave it untouched too.
  3. Two great trifectas! Didn't realize how tough Arrow #3 was to find till I searched, and how cool FP #38 cover was till I acquired one! Thanks for helping to keep the ball rolling!
  4. Based on lack of posts, you're not the only one - books remain elusive! Along with Jon, as one of the few collectors to complete (and sell) the run, I'm sure there's mixed emotions.
  5. Jon's thread has always been a favorite! Surprised thread has been dormant for 10 months - apparently I'm not the only one struggling to find these rare gems!! Thanks!
  6. For my 1,000th post, thought I'd revive one of my favorite threads! Though purchased well over a year ago, it's my most recent Centaur acquisition. Last appearance of a few long running characters and published right before Centaur itself turned out the lights for the last time. Feels like purpose of title was to use up inventory - even comic book ad was for Ace, not Centaur!
  7. for reopened listing with a new lower price!
  8. Congrats - MF #31 is indeed a rare book! More Funs from this period are as tough (rare) as the more publicized New Adventures. Great photo showing half of the DCs with Action #1 ads. If I had only one dime, it would've been a tough choice between Action #2 and NA #27 - O'Mealia vs Flessel! Wonder if kids visiting that newsstand and picking up 'Tec #16, MF #32 or NA #27 were confused and disappointed when the Action for sale didn't have the funny looking guy in blue tights with a red cape on its cover!?!
  9. North - need to update...
  10. 4 bulleyes!!!! My best round ever! Apparently I was "really" drunk at the time...
  11. for price drop - below GPA!
  12. General Rules: No PL or HOS members. I’ll take it in thread trumps any PM negotiations that aren't final. PM negotiations are only final when thread is updated as sold. Payment: Check or Money Order Only. Checks must clear before book is shipped. Payment due in 7 days, unless other arrangement made. Shipping: US shipping only. Free USPS Priority shipping with signature required (Registered). Returns: No returns on CGC books.
  13. The short answer is no. Most comics distributed in the US were printed in the USA. A notable exception is Stanley Morse; Junior Hope #1-3, Mister Mystery #1-5, Mr Universe #1-4 and Weird Tales of the Future #1-4 - all were printed in Canada for distribution in US (there are no "Printed in USA" versions). Once slabbed, you can't tell, since these are considered US editions by CGC (and OSPG and collecting community). Other than having a raw copy to check indicia, you can use GCD and Comic Book+. CGC only denotes Canadian comics or Canadian Price Variants on label.
  14. It is an under-appreciated classic and one of my favorite AMF covers! There's a typo in listing title, it's V2, not V3. GLWS.
  15. Cool story! It's great when you are able to add a grail book to your collection. Did not discover Marvel Man covers on Popular till later, after everyone else did! Did read that CBM article (tried to read all Jon's articles) and knew Jon was focused on Larsons. Jon's collection was truly impressive. Was lucky to pick up a few Centaurs from the auction, but no Larsons.
  16. Larson! This cover looks vaguely familiar.
  17. When I discovered a LCS, first books I bought for my "new" collection were OMAC #1 and Human Torch #1 (1974). Figured they'd be worth a fortune when I retired! At least I found Jack. Have an OMAC #1, but not copy I bought here. Suspect I still have that HT #1, but no idea where!
  18. One of the earliest PAs I own (1910). Seems to be most common issue in run.
