  1. Is it your choice to move out? No Well good luck to you. Is this move #3 for you in less than a year? Is this going to impact your job as well?
  2. If he is too lazy to get a job then what makes anyone think he'll work hard enough to keep it?
  3. Grail: Whiz #2 - 1st Captain Marvel (DC) Not sure if the following would be considered GRAILS but they're definitely KEYS: Marvel Family #1 - 1st Black Adam Whiz #25 - 1st Captain Marvel Jr. Captain Marvel Adventurs #18 - 1st Mary Marvel
  4. Grails More Fun Comics #52 - 1st Spectre New Fun Comics #73 - 1st Aquaman/Green Lantern Pep Comics #22 - 1st Archie Pep Comics #23 - 2nd Archie Crime Suspenstories #22 - Classic decapitation cover
  5. I actually had this page bookmarked but had no idea where it got it from. Thanks for the great list!
  6. Well, he gave two different numbers for how much it cost him (first was $108, then it was $116) and seeing the utterly convoluted and incomprehensible mess he made in explaining how much he spent shipping and how much the buyer paid and how he repeatedly changed the terms of the shipping costs on the buyer and who would pay what, I have zero confidence in any numbers being put forth here. That's because I needed to get all the numbers straight that's why it changed it again. You should have had the numbers straight before you gave your buyer a quote for shipping. Also, once you gave the buyer a quote, you should have honored that price. That's how reputable people conduct business. I agree I will do that next time. You constantly make stupid mistakes and keep saying you'll improve on it. Maybe that's why you can't keep a job because the things you're doing is really common sense stuff. The way you handled that last sale was unprofessional. Going back and forth on the shipping was shady because it seemed like you were getting greedy. You were lucky he didn't back out of the transaction.
  7. That kind of happens when you don't know what you're doing. Yeah it was a bit of a mess next time I'll do it better Good job on making some profit on that book. If you are going to keep selling invest in a digital mailing scale so you can give immediate and accurate shipping quotes. You are lucky the buyer didn't walk away as the cost of shipping kept going up. Some may have gotten annoyed with that and wanted out. The back and forth regarding the shipping charges was not very professional. I think if he stated he would send the book out for $210 shipped then he should have stuck to that. I know he could care less for advice from boardies since he thinks he knows what he is doing and every mess is just another "i'll do better next time" type experience but after a couple years of this when is he actually going to do better?
  8. So does the sale price include shipping? Or is it extra? How will the book be shipped? The sale price includes shipping because he paid for it. Tracked packet International So did he pay $211.81 USD for the book and shipping or did he pay $211.81 plus actual shipping cost? If shipping was included in the sale price, would this be a fair approximation? $218 (sale price) - $6 (PayPal fee) - $45 (CDN to USD converted shipping cost) = $167 $167 (funds after all fees) - $108 (what you paid for the book) = $59 profit Is that how the deal went down? He paid $220 plus the actual shipping cost So here's how it went down I wanted 210 Shipped for it, he contacted me and I asked him to give me the address I said that it would cost 10 dollars extra He then sent over 20 dollars instead of 10 because I said it could cost extra as it's just a quote. I went and got the actual quote and he went with the one that Cost $42 USD So I took it away and left him with the difference that he had left to pay $42-20= $22 I told him I felt bad for messing up the first quote so I will give him an $8USD credit for my mistake so it's like he had paid 28 usd $42-28USD = $14 He paid the difference of 14USD and thanked me So these are the final numbers $220 -8.91 PP fee -8 Shipping Credit = $203.09 The rest he paid for Your math is so damn confusing. So you wanted $210 shipped. Then you found out you couldn't figure out the shipping cost right so you told him to pay you an extra $10 to cover the cost of shipping. Once you got the actual shipping cost you found out you screwed up again and asked him for more money. You ask that he pay you an additional $14 so his grand total came out to be $210+$20+$14 = $244? If that's the case then its sad you didn't honor your price to the buyer. If you stated $210 shipped then it should have been that. The fact you charged the buyer shipping charge after you quoted him a "shipped" price is shady. 210 is what I said it would be then I said add 10 dollars and that should cover and I also said I'll get a quote and see what they tell me just in case and you pay the rest and he agreed. Nothing is shady about it I told him everything I was doing. You kept adding more shipping which was more than the original price.

  10. I believe you mean Cry for Dawn #5 (1st and 2nd print). #4 isn't a high priority book. Oops, you're right. It is #5. #4 has a cool cover but #5 has a cover that sells.
  11. Cry for Dawn #1 should be on the list and maybe #4 (1st and 2nd print). Darkhorse Presents #24 is another good book.
  12. Because again I ignored my friends advice unlike me he's always on top of things. And you've proven that you are purchasing books after the hype has died down. You're not going to duplicate your friend's success since you seem to spend so much on books that have peaked and are on a downward trend. I was getting a little concerned when you stopped posting. I thought that you had finally come to your senses and stopped buying books but I'm glad to see that you're continuing on you way.
  13. So buying a book under market and you can't sell it under market so your solution is to buy books OVER market and wait for the market to catch up...hopefully...one day...after an announcement or trailer...or something like that. Sense you have made much of. No the idea was to buy the comic under gpa by at least half but that didn't work out. Also this is black panther's 2nd app we're talking about here which is currently undervalued and 1st app of Klaw. What makes you think the book is undervalued? Why would you buy a second copy of a book when you can't even sell the first copy? I just don't understand your reasoning with these purchases. 2nd appearance of black panther Origin of black panther 1st appearance and Origin of Klaw Gpa shows that compared to FF52 it has room to grow and it will Klaw and black panther are like Cap and red skull Also I've had offers on my FF53's just not what I want to sell for None of these are evidence of the book being undervalued. You should get out from under all of these books as soon as possible. Take the loss and use the freed up money on better investments. He has quite a bit going for him
  14. The grades are 6.0, 6.0, 7.0/7.5 5.0 I fully admit that I overpaid for them so now I need to sit on them while I sell the others. Yikes, this is going to be a hard one to try to recover your money.
  15. And the grade/condition of Betty & Me #16 please. Not sure what to grade it as it has pieces of pages missing so I'm thinking 1.5-1.8 I guess that explains why you got such a good price on it.
  16. Yeah, I don't think he can do it either. Seems like way too much work for him.

How much higher do you think that book will go? 2nd appearances generally aren't worth as much as the character's first appearance so I don't see it as being undervalued even with the 1st appearance of Klaw. He has already appeared in a movie and that did nothing for his 1st appearance.
  18. Personal or to Flip? Did you pull an ASM 129 8.5/8.0 mistake again? The FF53 is to flip Is this a long term or short term flip? Is Klaw a major character thats going to be in a movie or something?
  19. Yes, his mom knows better and told him it isn't safe for a 23 year old to go out trick or treating, meanwhile a bunch of 10 year olds are running around the neighborhood in scary costumes going trick or treating. I'll mention this again since you may have forgotten, I don't live in the safest of neighborhoods and taking a car would be the safer solution and it's faster. Do you live in Niagara Falls, NY or Canada? NY I could understand this statement, but Ontario. Who tells you this, your Mom who watches the news? Jim Both my mom and the fact that a few people grabbed me and wanted to fight. How old were you when that happened? Sounds strange that someone would try to grab an adult male.
  20. On a consistent basis I don't have a list like other people buy I just buy what's hot a very rarely a non hot key for a good price. So - I am no longer giving any advice - too tired of being ignored - but general statements Iceman - that is a very good strategy. It sounds like if you know what to look for and keep a solid list - consistent money can be had in this game. Gabe - I did the math for you earlier - you may have forgotten - chasing hype books - you fail (lose money) about 89% of the time. No I didn't forget that you said that but I don't remember the math and if I were able to do what iceman did I would. You're just too lazy to put in the effort. Like I mentioned earlier, I have a team member who has a REAL learning disability and he is able to function working on his own. I've never heard him say his disability held him back from anything in life nor have I heard him blame his disability for anything he couldn't do. He accepted it and moved on and did something for himself. Yes because I have a fake learning disability you don't know what it does or doesn't do so don't assume anything. You had someone that had a disability good for him. I don't make things up for the hell of it despite what you think and I agree that I won't get far if I keep letting it get in my way and not wanting to improve or doing anything to fix it just yet but I'm doing it at my own pace. Never said it was fake but you seem to use that as an excuse for everything. This other kid doesn't. I don't think you're making this up as I truly think you need some serious help. As far as doing things at your own pace...you every wonder why people think you're lazy? I could care less if you keep doing things at your own pace and doing what you want to do, but by the time you finally wake up and try to change your life, you'll be so stuck in the you're in that you'll just settle.

  22. That wan't my mom being mean but yes I wasn't joking when I said I wanted to go for Halloween I thought you said you chose not to go trick or treating. Are you saying your mom told you you can't go and then you decided not to?
