    My local art shop sells packs of 100 archival bags for $22. I bought a pack before the show but also made sure all of my standard size pieces were in bags. You're right Rick, little things make a difference.

    Most people don’t discount at all and I can understand both perspectives. At the show someone was set up and had a piece I liked. I asked how much, was told 2k. I asked if they’d take $1800. Was told no, 2k was the price. I agreed to buy it. They proceeded to have a chat with their son at the table and said, actually it’s $2500. I said you just quoted 2k. They didn’t care. No, this wasn’t cool lines. What makes it better? Someone I know bought it for $1750 at the end of the show.

    Had a discussion with another collector yesterday. Seems the market has been doubling. If you take an aggressive stance it doubles every 2 years. Moderate is every 3 years. Of course that’s not the case for all art but in many cases it seems to fit.

    The room is very open and you have a max of 100 people attending through the entire day. Joe and his team do a good job to keep an eye on the number of people and masks are mandatory.
