  1. Got this back from Matt & Kenny not too long ago. Spine was totally gone. As with my entire collection, no interest in getting it slabbed.
  2. Here are before and after pics of my 35 which is in process by Kenny. Its almost done.
  3. Its because of artists like this that I stopped collecting art and going to cons. Who needs the aggrevation?
  4. I have had my comics in a SDB for years with no issues. I do have full insurance on all of my collectibles though. Also I keep a small rechargable de-humidifier in the box as well.
  5. Instant payment! A great buyer! Thanks very much!
  6. Is a Detective 27 in VG to Fine range with extensive pro resto a safe investment? Lets say it costs $60k, where would you imagine the book being 10 years from now? 25? 50? Break out the crystal ball!
  7. This arrived the other day. One of my all time fav GGA covers.
  8. Glad everything worked out. Just saying, but I was told by many people never to pay Bill in advance for anything.
  9. Since I am buying and selling on here regularly, I figure I should make a feedback thread. For those I have had transactions with, feel free to post your kudos or other thoughts here. Thanks! Ankur
  10. Cant compare to the Detecitve 27, but a small gem from my collection. The top of the cover was being cut off at one point as if the copy was going to be returned. It was hanging by a thread and eventually got detached. So the top is much more tattered and worn than the rest of the book. Interesting that a retailer was ready to send the top of the cover back to get credit for it, but for some reason decided not to! Will send it to Matt Nelson to restore eventually. AJ
  11. Ah the benefits in dealing in parts are endless!
  12. It doesnt always match, but in many cases it does. Detective 38 is a unique back cover as it says "To the readers of Detective comics". The back cover that is up on ebay does not match either Action 13 or Tec 28. In both of those books the boy's shirt is a different color. CGC would pick up on it immediately. I emailed the seller to let him know.
  13. Thats actually a board member here who posted that. Would be much cheaper to buy the corresponding Adventure or More Fun. How would you know the difference? Most Adventure and More Fun's were cut shorter than Actions and Detectives. Otherwise there is no way to tell. The asking price on ebay is downright silly. You can buy a complete More Fun 44 for $500 and take the back cover from that. In most cases, corresponding month/year of Action, Detective, Adventure, and More Fun had the same back covers.

  16. Did Action 15 and 17 recently jump in value? I remember when I was collecting 8-9 years ago, they werent really considered anything major.
