  1. Here you go David. I only have Pep 22 and 23. I read all those other books off the online database. These are my father's books. He won them off eBay back around '95 when eBay had just come out. He was at work when the auctions were ending and was using his work computer. Right when he won the Pep 22 his supervisor walked by and says "You just spent 2 grand on a comic book?!?" lol

    What a great story. :cloud9:

  2. For personal desirability

    Cap 1

    Marvel 1

    All American 16

    Detective 1

    Batman 1

    Detective 27

    More Fun 52

    All Star 8

    Flash 1

    Planet 1

If money is completely off the table these are my faves. Other than Action 1 and Superman 1 being the keys they are they don't do a thing for me. If I had all the money in the world there are still others not on my list I'd go after before those two unless the price was too good to pass up.

I tend to agree. Its hard to drop big bucks on a book like Sup 1 since it is 1) mostly reprints, and 2) not a 1st app. Cap 1 or Flash 1 on the other hand? :cloud9:

  3. Ok, I decided to look a little harder and found this thread. It was SNiPER that inspired my search. It's not an 8.5 but it looks awesome anyway...

And luckily all the pictures are still posted!

And if you don't want to see all the fun that was had...here's the book

I was the lucky buyer of this MT 19. I didn't agree with Metro's VF++ ( or whatever 8.75 means) and wasn't even really sure it was in fact a River City. Nevertheless, it had good paper and the cover was incredibly glossy. I had a nice VG at the time, which I ended up getting graded and then sold on MCS not too long ago.
