  1. All three work! The movement from left-to-right on Space Invaders will stick a little, but still playable (I think it's my brothers' anyway). That bad boy was 29.95 back in '81. Played an entire game of football as soon as I found a 9-volt. 16-0 final (I forgot about safties!).

  2. Drove in to see mom yesterday & was told to start taking more of my carp to my house. Today, we have some electronics.

Price tag from Osco says 18.99, but the joy on Christmas morning when pong showed up on the screen instead of cartoons ... :whee:

I need to pick up some "C" batteries and make sure it still works, but I'm confident.

  3. It would have been easier if they put a month on it, and not just Fall 1991. Technically, December is Fall, so the justice league issue could have been released before it or simulaniously, but I doubt it. I think you're probably right. I looked and I couldn't find any sonic threads.

Based on some PMs I had related to Sonic, the threads were from late '09, so the search function won't find 'em.

The Fall 1991 date does make it tougher to pin down which came first, especially if we don't know how the mini was distributed. I don't know if this was on the stands with the regular books, a video game promotion, special order, etc. I know several people on these boards look up print runs & distribution figures all the time. Maybe there would be some data for the fall of '91 months (and/or the months preceding?) that would tell us when it shipped/came out (if it was, in fact, on the stands). If not, I'm still stumped.

  4. Heroes will be epic this year! David Peterson, Jeremy Bastian, Janet Lee; all great artists with very unique styles in one spot. Have to find an extra Mouse Guard FCBD HC for a 3x SS :cloud9:

Was thinking about that myself. I don't see why not, but do we know if CGC will slab the Mouse Guard FCBD HC? It's not breaking new ground as far as thickness, but it is an odd size. Just curious.

  5. My modest "12 cent rounds" collection has tripled after C2E2. I was extremely happy that this book didn't get picked up during the Greg Reece winter sale here on the boards. White pages. :cloud9:

That was the only 'big' book (for me, anyhow) that I was expecting to get, when what to my wondering eyes should appear but an affordable copy of Loki's first appearance at the same booth.

I really need to have my eyes stop wondering ...

  6. From the days when Lego Space sets were new :cloud9:

Our daughters & their younger cousin have discovered the treasure trove of Legos belonging to my brother & I, including these specific space sets. Every time we go to see grandma & grandpa, the Legos come out & we're shown the latest updates to their house on the moon. Of course, whenever I try to offer suggestion, I'm told not to touch anything. lol

  7. Crime Suspenstories 22 CGC 4.5 Universal C/OW

CGC did not make a notation on the label about the book being signed (by Bill Gaines) on the first page. I guess when the book drops below a certain grade, they disregard the mention of any interior writing, ie "Name written on first page in pen". Oh well.

Not so. I have a 1.8 book that received the notation. Might have just been missed.
