Why is this book so popular?
-
Only 1 more to go for my New Warriors 1st Appearance Collection (This is the 1st app of Rage):

Geez, you'd think CGC could have at least noted his 1st app. on the label.
Who do you have left?
-
And now for something completely different:
awesome!
Thanks! My first GA (thumbs u
Heck of a way to start!
-
Cross posted from the GA section, but I was (and still am!) super excited about these!
With good reason. Congrats!

Sweet Punisher books. Where's #2?

Not Brand Echh

I will always associate bronze Spideys with Romita even though there were other very talented artists that drew Spidey in the 1970s.

Got these Sunday at a Vintage Stock for a dollar each.

Nice!

I've had some success at flea markets in the past, but nothing phenominal as of late. Picked these up two weeks ago:
$1.00 (sticker is on the bag, not the book)
$4.00

I know I saw more than one letter from Cat Yronwode during the Byrne run on FF.

Avengers 4 reprints?
Besides the Gold Record version, was #4 ever reprinted in Marvel Tales or someplace similar? I just snagged a nice slabbed #4 and I'd like to pick up a cheap reader copy but GRRs are more than I care to spend.
Avengers Special (annual) #3
Avengers: Classic #4
Marvel Milestone Edition: Avengers #4
May be a few others.

Avengers Perez covers were the best back then.

My first price variant. Found in the $2 box at Chicago Comicon.
-
My first-ever 30 cent variant found in the $2 boxes at Chicago Comicon last week.
-
A little late on the scan, but my first CGC book done onsite in Chicago. Blue label 7.0, OW pages. Not as dark as the scan makes it look.
-
Here's the back cover to Secret Origins #1 (Aug-Oct, 1961) plugging Superman Annual #3 & Batman Annual #1.

What you think guys?
Nice books. And they seem to be in decent shape. I like the Power Book & Records, but I don't have any of the DC characters.
-
just got these scans back from cgc...someone will enjoy these books.
One of my favorite Spidey covers.

Heard great things about this two part series but haven't ever read it.
Finally won a bid on ebay for it.
Is it as good as people say?
Been a while since I read that one, but you can't go wrong with the sky-rider of the spaceways!

Morning everyone,
I don't post in this thread, so I apoligize if this has been done already. I found this parody on the back of Simpsons Comics #3 and thought you'd like to compare.

What a stunning copy!
Damn that's hot!!!
My Overstreet "Fan" Magazine reprint will have to do for now, but that original is a beauty.
-
Can you guys tell me about the issues please? Are any of these key issues, etc.
Some of them look good condition - I'm more or less hoping though! .
I don't think any of those contain significant appearances/stories per say, but you've got some nice reading material. Enjoy!
-
And when I read them, I'd place an open magazine on the table, usually a Sports Illustrated, and place the comic on top of that.
Funny you mention that technique. I just read a book last night using an old Wizard publication as a holder.
This week in your collection?
