Nice birthday gift MiamiKnight.
My earliest J.I.M. to date. Will probably take a while to get the next issue down.

Picked up from boardie TC33.

Completed my first transaction w/Shark. I'm sure it won't be my last. Thanks Mike.

Beautiful group of TTAs (and that Spider guy isn't bad either).
-
What about Spectacular Spider-Man #90 (just to muddy the waters)?
-
Congrats on your accomplishment. I hope to be in a similar situation one day.

White pages.

While I don't like it when tracking information isn't updated, I do love surprises when I get home.
I didn't realize that Ant-Man was 'famous' after only one issue in costume.

An FF #1 should be posted in as many threads as possible.

Lovely copy Antman, bet there is some great ads and prices in it.
I haven't had a chance to appreciate the ads yet (as few as there were), but I did notice some prices while doing a page count. Action #1 - $1,000. For $8, you could get a Daredevil #1 or X-Men #1.
The "Market Report" was all of two paragraphs. There were several titles that noticed an increase from the previous year, including Little Lulu ...

My reprint of #1 will have to do for now, but this was the last issue I needed for the rest of the set. I don't think the book was ever opened. The spine isn't cracked, the edges are sharp ... other than the lower right front corner, it could have just come off the stands.

That's a nice bundle of joy right there. (thumbs u

Not a comic per se, but a little souvenir that came home with me from Mexico City in the spring of '87. I believe there is only one more cover under the one visable.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming ...

Nice to see that my dad still has an eye for the not-so-typical.

Just arrived within the hour. My first 'circle 12' FF.

That's a nice looking JIM 87.

RMAs link also says that it was a stand-alone AND a freebie in the magazines, but the freebies were usually only seven pages long. The auctions I posted show scans of page 12 & 15 respectively. The link to the auction at the top of the page mentions that each of the magazines contain 7 page Sonic stories. Starting to tie together.
Looks like the stand alone has 15 pages & the magazines have seven pages printed in the magazines themselves. At first, I thought the magazines contained a removeable comic that was the same size as the mini, but I no longer think that is the case. Plus, if these were 'inserted' into the magazines, I would think that any copies removed would look like hell.

While some of the links that Mr. 9.8 provided show some high asking prices, these are for auctions that have already closed:

THANK YOU!
I have been asking for years, but never got an answer as to its distribution. Since it has its own cover price, I thought it might have been a stand-alone issue. Good stuff. (thumbs u

dscott, that is quite a week.

So someone didn't yank out the 16 page insert from a JLE 33, call it a preview comic, and rip someone for $172?
They might have. If you zoom in at the top of the book, it looks like the bottom half of the word "Advertisement" can be seen. It could have been trimmed, it could have been cut poorly during production. Hard to tell from scans.
As fas as other differences, the mini has a glossy cover. I think the insert is paper stock throughout, but I cannot confirm.

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but the Hero Comics 2012 edition (which benefits the Hero Initiative) will include a TMNT story. I believe it comes out next week?

Yeah, not exactly the Executioner that I think of in the Thor mythos.
