  1. Here's one just beyond the Bronze Age. Good ol' Kay-Bee Toys ... Middle book is Muppet Babies #5.
  2. A little off the beaten path. Needs two scans due to the length.
  3. +1. The only Star title that I bothered to complete. I was very happy when Mr. Porker began a new series in Marvel Tales. Does anyone know what issue was his last in this title? Believe it or not, the OSPG doesn't bother to break it out. The nerve!
  4. I don't normally seek these out, but I couldn't pass them up at a flea market this weekend. Pizzazz # 6 & 7.
  5. Went to a subdivision garage sale on the next block. Found about a dozen Cracked magazines from the mid-80s in great shape. A sample: Same house had a handful of Gold Key/Whitman books. I thought a few might have been prepackaged only and I guessed right!
  6. I believe this was the only Bronze book I picked up at C2E2.
  7. I haven't bought a Cracked magazine in nearly 30 years, but I loved 'em as a kid and was more than happy to pick up about a dozen issues at a garage sale this weekend. A small sample:
  8. Picked this up last weekend. It was the last of the nine B&B books with the Metal Men that I needed.
  9. Sale at the LCS last weekend. A few highlights ... I know this was a hot book at one point, but I never owned a copy. Not even collecting this title yet, but I couldn't pass them up. My favorite of the group as it filled a big gap in my collection.
  10. And don't forget that there will be a Mouse Guard comic on Free Comic Book Day this year (new story!).
  11. There can be no greater date for a datestamp. (thumbs u
  12. Went to a Marvel New Year's Eve Eve party. Wasn't expecting to get anything, but I picked up a few one-shots that I missed in the 90s.
  13. Just in from ebay. 'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a hero was stirring ...
  14. #50, Thing battles the Thing. Not a particularly difficult issue, just haven't run across one in my recent searches. I can wait until C2E2 if I must.
  15. Just in from shark2557 (thanks Mike). Only need one more to complete the series.
  16. Another year-end half-off sale at a local LCS. Didn't have much time, so I only picked up a few titles. About a half-dozen Ghost Rider, a half-dozen Grendel & a few Marvel Two-In-One. I only need Ghost Rider #93 to complete the run.
  17. Just in from ebay. A few mags that I don't see too often. Both have bound-in Spider-Man comics.
  18. Year-end half-off sale. Nothing compared to some of the books in this thread, but they work for my budget (didn't pay more than $4 for any book). After I got home, I noticed that I had books from five different decades (60s - current) and five different publishers. Good thing I don't have a focus issue. Some highlights: Capes #1 (5 pg Walking Dead preview): Fantastic Four #73. I'm a big fan of giant guest star bonanzas & this books gives me a run from #60 - 261.Can't tell you the last time I bought a Silver Age Marvel. It felt good. Grendel #40. Heard this one is somewhat tough to find & I've seen it priced much higher. Very happy to find this one. Picked up a bunch of Marvel Two-In-One. Think I'm down to six more for the complete run. Fun title. Metal Men #15. Only two more for the complete run.
  19. I enjoy the Andru/Esposito artwork, especially compared to the Metal Men mini from a few years ago (ugh ). The stories are fun reads, generally light-hearted. I'm not a big reader of DC, but these guys are the exception. Read an old, coverless copy as a child at my grandparents cottage & I've been hooked ever since.
  20. From a recent trade with HouseofComics (thanks Marc).
  21. This is a great book. It was a big event when it was published...I remember what a big deal it was when it showed up. The reunion of Lee and Kirby and a Silver Surfer/Galactus epic to boot! Nice book Lloyd. I picked one up about a year ago. I don't think too many people think about slabbing the thicker books that hover between comic and TPB.
