I think the free membership is just that, for people testing it out?

Unless I misunderstood, even though you're allowed to look up five comics per month with the free membership, there are some features that are only unlocked when you subscribe to the site.

  2. I accept PayPal; payment is expected within 24 hours.  Books will not be shipped while fees are outstanding.
Please, no HOS or Probationers. The buyer has seven days from the day of receipt to inspect purchases
and books must be returned in exactly the same condition as when they were shipped.
Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Shipping is included in the price in the continental US.

I'm happy to ship anywhere else the law allows for exact shipping costs.

Insurance is not included but may be recommended as I can't be responsible for books after they're mailed.

You're welcomed and encouraged to PM me with offers but the first unconditional in the thread gets it.

    You know..., the usual rules.

  4. For sale is a complete copy of More Fun 58 sans cover.  All 64 interior pages are intact.  There is some slight tearing at the top of the upper staple but, otherwise, this book is in excellent condition.  If you can find a groom to marry this bride, you will have a great book.

I will listen to any reasonable offer if you provide recent sales of similar books.  Thanks for looking.

    $275 mailed.

Phantom Lady #14 (Canadian Edition- CGC 7.0 with off-white pages) $3395:

Even though CGC says Matt Baker cover Overstreet says no. It’s a great cover nonetheless and we have outstanding Matt Baker Art. Published October 1947. A rare Canadian Edition with only 4 in census.

This is a stunning cover. Easily an 8.0 or 8.5. Overall grade is brought down by “crease top left of whole book” and “small tear bottom of spine”. You can see the crease on the top of the back cover. Just a gorgeous book!

    Hey, it’s a Phantom Lady!

2nd Ant Man as a true costumed Super Hero, TTA 27 is more of a horror story that later morphed into a superhero story after they took a vote from fans.  :)     Hulk 180 will always be the 1st appearance of the Wolverine to me also, not 181.  LOL

Point taken. (thumbsu Interesting that someone else said that very same thing about TTA 27 being a horror story to me just last night.  And, yeah, Hulk 180 seems to be finally getting the respect it deserves.

Wow!  That book didn't last long.  Congrats.

  8. Marvel Masterworks 29 (Daredevil) variant cover.  $500 obo.   $400 obo

    Reprints issues 12 - 21

    Limited to 460 copies.

A N/Mt copy still in the original shrink-wrap.  As far as I can tell, there is no damage of any kind to the book and it's been kept in a smoke free environment.  I took the pictures with my cellphone camera thinking they would come out better than if I put the book on the scanner because of all the glare from the shrink-wrap.  If anyone wants a better look or a different angle, let me know.  I found two on eBay, one for $320 which has "corner creases" and another for $600.  If you see a comparable copy for sale anywhere else, please let me know.  Detail in the pictures is a little difficult to see and there's no curvature to the book like the perspective in one picture suggests--the book is perfectly flat and square.  I promise to package the book so that it will arrive to you in exactly the same condition you see it in now with no shipping damage, a problem which I've had with some eBay sellers.

  9. I'm offering one book for sale in this thread... A Near-Mint copy of Marvel Masterworks 29 (Daredevil) variant cover.

    First, a few rules: :rulez:

I will accept checks or USPS money orders (both of which must clear) or PayPal.  Please, no HOS or Probationers.

The buyer has seven days from the day of receipt to inspect purchases and books must be returned in exactly the
same condition as when they were shipped.  Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Shipping will be $7.50 in the continental US.  I'm happy to ship anywhere else the
law allows for exact shipping costs. Insurance is not included but is highly recommended as I can't be responsible for
    books after they're mailed.

You're welcomed and encouraged to PM me with offers but the first unconditional :takeit: in the thread gets it.
This trumps any ongoing PM negotiations.

I absolutely love the thick squarebound 100-page cardboard cover books ever since I saw a gorgeous copy of New Book of Comics 2 way back in the day.

Not sure if there's any truth to the rumour that it's a lot harder to "mess around" with these thick cardboard cover books?  (shrug)

What do you mean by "mess around"?  Pressing?
