  1. Battle Action 11 5.5? $100 Tough to call a grade on this one. Structurally 6.5 or so, but the back cover is a little dirty. The red on the BC is common on this book. I should grab a bag of wonder bread and make it pretty. But come on, you're buying this one for the front cover, which is pretty solid.
  2. Battle Action 3 7.5 OW/W $275 I'm surprised I have a nicer copy than this one, because it's gorgeous. Pretty brutal interior with a great full page battle splash by Heath.
  3. Ok. I wolfed that down. T minus 5 minutes until we start again.
  4. Dinner is ready. I'll try to get more listed tonight. Thanks to all!
  5. Battle 63 7.5 OW $175 Amazing book. It's near the transition to super heroes, so it's kinda half Marvel/half Atlas. The first story is one of Sinnott' best. It looks like Heath and Severin. Then you have an incredible Ditko war story. Then The last story it's drawn by Don Heck, but if I told you it was Alex Toth you wouldn't argue. All really top notch.
  6. Battle 57 7.0 OW or better $75 Uncommon Everett war cover, Romita art. Light distributor overspray. Very tight copy. Probably a little nicer than 7.0 frankly.
  7. Battle 32 7.0 Cr/OW $150 Might be a bit nicer. Clean white cover. Heath with maybe a touch of Maneeley in the background. Interesting book with Jay Scott Pike art inside. He was usually in the romance books. Also has a really wonderful Severin story and a nice Tuska 'Rising Sun' splash page.
  8. Battle 18 5.5-6.0 OW/W $500 Really solid copy of a difficult book to find in decent shape. This copy has the best colors I've ever seen on this issue. It's notorious for fading. There's some pressable wear, but I think its ceiling is a 6.0, and I don't know that the grade would even change. Great flamethrower cover in high demand.
  9. Battle 16 4.5 $200 It only took me 10 years to find an upgrade for this one. Very difficult book. Priced below market giveen comparable sales. Great appeal for the technical grade. And an absolute killer Heath Hitler story.
  10. Battle 12 6.0 OW $200 Stupid tough Heath cover, priced accordingly, but still quite fair. Paper is at worst OW.
  11. Battle 6 FN 6.0 W $150 Russ Heath's first war cover for Atlas. Also has a nice interior story by him. Glossy and fresh with exceptional paper. It has a transfer stain on both the front and back covers and had been in a humid environment. Structurally it's a really nice copy. Light rust at both staples.
  12. I'm going to be listing some spare 50s war books. Hopefully I can get through everything tonight, but it's a pretty decent stack. A lot of these are formerly my personal copies that I have since upgraded. At the end I have 3 non-Atlas books that you will probably want to stick around for. Typical rules apply. PayPal up to $1500. Payment due within 5 days of my invoice. S&I is $12 in the US, we'll figure out international. Above $500 I'll cover domestic. Returns accepted provided you notify me and ship back within 7 days and it's in the condition received. No bad guys. In the case that someone unconditionally takes a book and I am negotiating by PM I reserve the right to use my discretion, but let's just hope that we don't need to do that. Good luck.
  13. Exactly. Anything inside the package should die in transit. It's the outside you really need to worry about.
  14. Respiratory transmission. 1 cough can contaminate a lot.
  15. Unfortunately yes. Wiping a cardboard box down with a bleach wipe would be reasonable as well. Your idea of opening it outside and immediately discarding reduces risk, but you would have to get the contents out and unwrapped without transferring any bugs.
  16. NEJM published data this week showing that the virus can live on cardboard for at least 24 hours. Packages will be going through high-traffic facilities and a lot of hands, so it's quite possible that they could be colonized. I would advise that you make sure that you try and keep packages out of your house, give them a day or two to decontaminate in a garage or back porch before handling, and wash your hands and discard packaging immediately after opening. Good luck and stay safe.
  17. Just to be fair, these aren't the boards you used to know. That community is dead and gone. I would strongly advise that you use a proxy instead of ship on approval.
  18. Everyone thinking about selling needs to just save this post. Picking and choosing examples to validate otherwise is pointless. Way too many external factors.
