  1. There's a Spirit 1 from 1944, but everything else is probably 1941 at the latest. I'd have to look up the individual books though.
  2. That one isn't on the list I have, and is much later than any other books in the collection.
  3. It was slabbed until last week. A book like this has no business being in a slab. Way too much good stuff to see inside.
  4. That's where this scares me. Comics have a 50+ year history as a collectible and have shown a fairly linear growth pattern. Video games, although having a large fan base, don't have the history to justify 6-7 figure prices.
  5. After stealing comiclink's name and CVA idea, seems like they are now trying to steal their terrible website functionality.
  6. Every. Dealer. Needs. To. List. Their. New. Books. In. Order. This is the best way to drive people to your site and encourage purchases. I don't know why this isn't a thing. You can do it on the new site, but it's clunky and much less user friendly. Comics for sale > browse > show filters > sort by > newest buy now. Then if you're on a mobile device you scroll until your thumb hurts and squint to see the description that's blurred out under the buy tab. Easy enough? Seriously, whoever designed this went for coding over usability.
  7. Seriously. It's so non specific that you can't find what you want. Try to find ASM and see how many tries it takes.
  8. I was always curious if you had any concept of how business works
  9. Generally positive. Not effusive. It wouldn't seem genuine if I was too nice. "Great guy, other than... well let's not get into that."
  10. If you give me your books it would benefit your business. I promise to speak kindly of you to anyone who asks.
  11. Heritage's auctions can really drag out. I would imagine this is to increase exposure to some of the later items.
  12. The only way I could see it happening is if they made a slab that had a concave center, the opposite of the creep engine slabs, which would hold the book in place with pressure. However, given how brittle pulps can be I don't think that would be feasible.
  13. Really excited for this Tim. Thanks for letting us know!
  14. I can find plenty of Colletta examples that aren't too far off, but the biggest thing to me that argues against Everett is how stiff and close up it is. There's not another Everett book from that era with a similar layout. His perspective at this time was always further off. Even in the other 2 romance covers that he did. Full figures, background figures playing into the story being told by the image.
  15. Atlastales has it as Colletta inks attributed, pencils guessed, so I guess there's room for discussion.
  16. Where did you get Everett? That looks pretty clear Colletta to me.
  17. I think they're CR/OW, but it's structurally a superb copy. I have no complaints.
