  1. Are you looking to compare it to all modern books? (that might be tricky) or just copies of the same book? You can see the number of books per grade via the CGC Census - here it is for TMNT #1 1st print: https://www.cgccomics.com/census/grades_standard.asp?ComicID=5000360 There are 150 total graded 8.0s. But yeah - for that book, I'd be super happy with an 8.0 - congrats!
  2. Could be a lot of reasons - grades aren't only based on page quality. If the books are exactly the same beyond the page quality, then I don't see why 'off white' would grade higher than 'white'.
  3. Curious to see what thoughts current facilitators have on this? I don't have any plans to stop using facilitators to get the full yellow witnessed label, but I imagine there'll be a large number of people who just do walk ups for sigs and then get them authenticated after the fact.
  4. 3rd or 4th plz! trying to avoid the wraps 1x ea
  5. good question - I would guess that if one sig gets a 10 grade and the other an 8, it would show a 9 as an average? or maybe it would show a 18?
  6. From the submission form you can currently only get 2 sigs verified... so which 2 you gonna pick
  7. If anyone here is interested, Mark Hamill was just announced for the Chicago Fan Expo in August: https://fanexpohq.com/fanexpochicago/guest-mark-hamill/
  8. Page quality upgrade too! looks like you made the right call
  9. Yep could be - but that could also be part of the art - if it's ticks, probably down to 8.5 ish : /
  10. the only possible issue I see is the top left corner looks like it's scuffed, but other than that, lgtm - 9.6+ (but tbh I've sent in plenty of books I thought were easy 9.8s only to have them grade lower )
  11. Back up - its in the recap on 52 but marked as sold on the page so maybe i just missed the other take - if its available, ill take it 👍 Take
  12. Awesome. Did you come up with the ideas or did the artist?
  13. I just noticed that JSA is going to be at the Philadelphia FanExpo. Given the impending announcement about the integration of their authentication services with CGC, will they be able to act as on site signature witnesses? If so, could you provide details as to how that would work?
  14. same haha I'm just more annoyed because I wouldn't have sent in a book to be signed & graded with a visible color break, and yet somewhere in process someone wasn't careful (or the break happened in pressing) and the end result is a lower grade than I would have hoped - I have complete faith in the facilitator, so I'm looking at CGC - it's just disappointing, and not the first (nor last, I suspect) time it's happened to me.
  15. ouch! I zoomed in a bit, as it was hard to even tell it was there at regular resolution, below: Still think it seems pretty minor for the grade knock tho.
