  1. Yesterday was a great new book day for me and L&K was still the first book I read. And I'm a huge WD fan. This is one of the few moderns that takes me more than 5 minutes to read as I always find myself immersed. This issue inparticular was so much fun with the different situations (loved the squirrels!) that played out. Oh if only it came out every month!
  2. I've got most of the same likes and gripes(climbing rocking using zombies) as the rest of you. I still liked the episode but the one thing really bothering me is Laurie Holden as Andrea...she just doesn't feel like Andrea to me at all. She's too old and sounds like a soap opera queen. My secret hope is that with the departures from the comic, which I love, will be that the sisters switch places
  3. The hours are starting to crawl...I am so ready for this show!
  4. Wow...this cover actually made my neck tense up. Why oh why is this arc bi-monthly?!
  5. Good timing Maz...I just sat through everything other video on AMC's site then I come here to say something like "OMG TEH WALKING DEAD" and you've got another video for me to watch. Thanks pal (thumbs u
  6. Got my L&K Welcome To Lovecraft and Crown of Shadows HC's in the mail today. Head games is back ordered and will be here in a few weeks but it will be fun to get that too. It just dawned on me how much I really like this series...I own a lot of trades but this is the first time I've ever sprung for the hardcovers. They just feel right
  7. Just placed my order on Amazon for all three hardcovers. I'm really looking forward to dedicating some time to a nice slow stroll through all three. Speaking of slow, anybody else bummed about the two month wait between the first and second issues of Keys to the Kingdom?
  8. Ok, I'm in. I am completely enamoured with this book right now. I picked up the Welcome To Lovecraft TP at the B-More con last year for $5 bucks, read through it and enjoyed it. I just never seemed to get around to Head Games even though I picked the sketch cover of issue 2 out of a box due to sheer awesomeness. I was in Barnes and Noble last week and started flipping through the Head Games HC...was done with it before I realized i was sitting down. Read a friends copy of COS this week (my LCS didn't have it and I wasn't waiting for amazon) and then issue 1 of Keys To The Kingdom. Now that my life story in relation to L&K has been told...I don't know how I want to go about collecting this book. I'm thinking of just getting the HC's from Amazon for now since it's basically buy two get one free. I don't really collect CGC's due to space and a lowly budget...not that I wouldn't love to. For now I'll just drool over the registry sets. So there...I'm not very vocal around here but this book has really got me hooked and I thought I'd get in on the fun.
  9. Jon...please please please post those Ottley WD pages if you get a chance. I would love to see them! Ottley + Crazy WD Backup = This fanboy's heart skipping a beat.
  10. This is one of the few books I really look forward to each month. It's a good ride!
  11. There are so many great pages from this series where you can take away the dialogue and they are just as strong. This is one of them (thumbs u
  12. Stellar page Jon! My most recent addition was a Michonne page as well
  13. I am so thrilled they are doing a tv series instead of a movie. Even if they made 3 movies over the next couple years that would only be 5-7 hours of content. Assuming the episodes will be an hour then we'll get that in the first half of the season. Around the time I picked up the first trade I remember reading something that made me believe this series was going to be awesome. Kirkman said something to the effect that he wanted to do a zombie book because with the movies, all you got was 2 hours then everybody was dead or wasn't. He wanted the space to really develop stories and characters. For that reason I think a tv series rather than a film is the best way to adapt his ideas. And c'mon...who doesn't want fresh Walking Dead every week!
  14. In case anybody cares I find this trend weird. I posted this two weeks ago. Today on ebay I see this: Walking Dead CGC 9.6 sells for $152 Raw Walking Dead 2 with 9.6/9.8 POTENTIAL!!! is at $200 with 2 days to go Hmmm, highest GPA on a #2 9.8 = $202 Anybody want to predict where this raw #2 ends?
  15. I will be seeing Adlard at the Bristol Comic convention, here in the UK, in May Yeah, send it to Gary and have him get it signed! That would be very cool. I've never seen one of the 50 variants signed by 3, much less 4. Hmmm. I'll have to think about that. I'm one of those guys that prefers his signatures in person. If given the opportunity though I might have to reconsider. I seriously only have a handful of sigs I didn't get myself including a Charlie Adlard WD 26 SS...oh, and some dude named Stan ?
  16. I love this book simply because the cover was a shot at the mass amounts of zombie variant covers on zombie-less books. I don't know how rare it is but I got mine triple signed by Kirkman, Ottley and Larsen. I thought about making Larsen do it on the back Well, that makes it more interesting when they're signed. I do like that... Yeah, I dig it. Erik signed it in Seattle last year, then Robert and Ryan in Baltimore. I think my odds are pretty slim of bumping into Charlie Adlard or Cliff Rathburn but it would be pretty rad to add them!
  17. Definitely (thumbs u I hope I am not coming off as mopey about it. After about 30 seconds of "WTF?" I couldn't have cared less. I've been buying on ebay for years and have gotten my share of good deals. I have to figure that when I do sell here and there I'm going to give some back. Mmmm...Ebay Karma
  18. +1 +2 I did. It would have taken the sport out of it to cancel it anyways
  19. I love this book simply because the cover was a shot at the mass amounts of zombie variant covers on zombie-less books. I don't know how rare it is but I got mine triple signed by Kirkman, Ottley and Larsen. I thought about making Larsen do it on the back
  20. Should have let us know when you had an hour or so left Yeah...a mercy bidding at least. Sorry man... He did post about it hear, but Branget ripped into him about Page 327 of this thread... I brought hell and all its fury down on him Indeed he did! It was a sound internetz thrashing I actually want an opinion from you guys. With about 3 hours left and no bids I was considering cancelling it. I don't even know if I could have at that point. I felt like it was going to get that "Awww, what the hell bid" in the last minute, which it did. I decided to just let it play out in hopes it would sell at a somewhat reasonable price. What would you guys have done?
