    You could always sell the books here, do a reverse auction and lower the price - people here will buy them, if you feel capable (willing) to ship them. I'm a bit confused about the part where you said you didn't have the means to buy bags/boards? You offered $300 on the collection but couldn't spend $30-40 to bag/board them?

    Right, we don't even know what the total addressable market is for variants. They could also change on a dime due to shifting consumer spending habits...you need to be very quick to adapt; there needs to be a monitor of average days of sales outstanding on some of these products.

    I think excel sheets, or some type of database software would be useful if you're a collector with many runs. From a dealer standpoint, I don't see the value in doing this. The on-going maintenance would be too time-consuming; if your collection is sorted properly it would be easy to just look for a book when prompted.

I don't know what happened with this book, I took photos of the spine, I don't think the spine splits were like that the last time I looked at this book (pretty sure I would remember seeing it, but I'm not 100% sure it's been sitting in a CGC box for a few years). Has anyone encountered something like this before - there's one split at the staple?

    I don't know, how many buyers looking for five copies of this book are out there? I think with instances like this, the only thing you can do is create piles of long-boxes and then hopefully if you have 15-20 longs to dump you can parcel these type of books out. In failing that, dump most of these books in a recycling bin.
