  1. Thats a good question. These losers need to be banned forever

  3. Yup, #80 A boardie guessed it a few posts back. Time for you to post some group shots of your incredible collection Jamie
  4. Just started reading this and can already tell theres lots of good info (thumbs u
  5. As an indication of how much the shenanigans in this hobby have affected me, back in the day I spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on HG slabs--annually. I now spend less than ten thousand dollars on HG slabs each year. You should have put some of that money into HK real estate, buddy. Richmond,B.C. ?
  6. Here's an Excel spreadsheet of Ewert books: http://home.mchsi.com/~bpmdu/ewert.xls How long? Two thousand eight hundred and seventy entries. Okay here is the list. Does CGC contact everyone who registers one of these books ?
  7. I highly doubt anyone knows So do I. But the claim has been made in this thread with no evidence to back it up. I think supapimp is just assuming. Doubt he has hard evidence.
  8. I really doubt he's using his name. What steps would you suggest CL does to keep him from consigning? Should they get a photo id from every consigner? What is to keep JE from submitting books to CGC under a different name? How do we know he is not here selling on our boards? If anyone knows he is operating under different names, why isn't this shared? Exactly my point. No one can say for sure. Thats why to say Jason Ewert is not a clink consignor is ridiculous. I'm more curious how CGC detects this micro trimming. Anyone ?
  9. Couple more questions. Does Ewert still sell anywhere ? How does CGC detect micro trimming ? and why could they not detect it before the Ewert scandal ? Any guess at how many comics got the treatment from Ewert ?
  10. List ? of Ewert books ? and other possible trim job books ? Can we see ? If not, approx. how long is this list ?
  11. Jeez, are these all from the same guy at the Vancouver Comic Con a few months back? (thumbs u Only one DC though ? There are more. and you only took the one Batman ?

  13. Why send it now ? Wait a couple months and it will have been an entire year. Thats gotta be some sort of record.
  14. If I had an SS book I wanted to read (I know. Just suspend your disbelief for a moment, okay.) I would have it cracked out by a CGC employee at the booth such as; Gemma, Bill (when he was there) or Joe. I would have to read the book at the booth and then resubmit it for Signature Series grading. It would still retain the yellow label. Not the best of scenarios convenience wise, but it does provide the opportunity to read, feel or smell a book that most believe to be forever off limits. Are you laughing while typing this Watson ? Who's really gonna do this Possible, yes. Ridiculous, very.
  15. I'll have to respectfully disagree. Take the Tally Ho Frazetta for example that someone had signed. Edgar Church stored these books away and they survived in beautiful condition. Many years later Joe Schmoe has them signed and changes their appearance from the rest of the collection. When Church had this comic it had no sig. To me it compromises the integrity of the collection. What I'm trying to say is that it creates disparity within the pedigree collection. Every time a ped is signed there is a great disturbance in the force.
