  1. when I get back from SDCC, I will start with 3/7 (another significant issue) to the end of the run (well, through issue 41, since I don't have a 42...yet!)
  2. then, renumbered again, volume 3.... I present 3/1-3/6
  3. next up is 2/7 through 2/12...a couple of very special issues here... (anyone know why?)
  4. next, renumbered to volume 2 and started over with #1... Funny pages 2/1-2/6 anyone know which issue was the first published by Centaur?
  5. Changed from "the Comics Magazine (Funny pages)" to just "funny pages" beginning with issue 6... here is 6-11
  6. My favorite ugliest cover of the GA.....nah......the plain ugliest. Period. significant book, however,...... the clock. First masked hero
  7. i feel like this book rivals any comic in our hobby for sheer beauty. i flat love the book. so happy it's in my geek family. wow
  8. well, fedex let me down today...was supposed to receive a comics mag #1 that would have closed 1-5, FP6- 3/6, but alas, guess I will have to wait till tomorrow... sigh
  9. thruthfully that is a partial fear of mine...yes, as comic book fans of the publisher, we like to see the positive exposure...but as collectors of the publisher, relative to the seemingly almost non existent supply, I fear new competition At some point not too long ago, you WERE the new competition! indeed...it was jb's thread that got me hooked...then I went to Win's house in Chicago in 2007? and the frenzy began...but, a mere 2 years later, I "gave" up and sold off...only to have Boot reignite my desire in 2013...last 2 years have again, been a frenzy... due to a few gracious boardies, I will be picking up 3 more issues I need over next 2 weeks...a FP 3/7, a KDF 11 and a FP 41.... getting close on the hero titles...and another buddy will have a star 2 and a couple little giant funnies I need. where I am missing a LOT of issues are the Star And Star Rangers......tough I recall that big stack of Centaurs you got from Boot a couple of years ago. I enjoyed flipping through them the brief time they were at my place in Philly Boot is who pushed me "back" into collecting centaurs... I blame him this go around

  12. indeed...there are some centaur books that even a 1.0 brittle page would be a welcome addition!
  13. Very nicely presenting copy, I have one too... my copy is an ugly 3.0, so not going to post it relative to these 2 beauts
  14. The only real "issue" is that with comic books there is an exponential value growth at higher grades versus a more arithmetic growth for the lower grades. And they are not equivalent for each book. So I believe this formula either undervalues or potentially over values market cap fairly significantly , but does offer some comparison For example, easy enough to take 30+ copies of action 1 and figure out the market cap is over 21million. 10% higher than the af15 est. May or may not be the same differential if we were to expand 1700+ af15 copies. But neat none the less
  15. True - I've seen a handful of Funny Pages 38's (including some nice pedigrees), but issue 40 is very scarce (to rare). Congrat's on the Centaur re-build rick, coming along very nicely! It's been fun (and frustrating at same time ) If I were to "combine" my previous effort with current , I would only be lacking 14 books to completion. Unfortunately the first time I sold off most all , there were some real tough ones that I might not see again for a long time. I'm still 30-40 short (have to update soon) but have had a tremendous amount of boarie help obtaining issues. So a big THANK YOU to all that have assisted me! Amazing run...appox how many books in a complete set.....30-40 does not seem bad at all. Super covers.. I believe 292 books to complete the publisher. That includes ultem and cheslers iirc
  16. here is a nice Mad Ming Trifecta from the Funny Pages run...
  17. I will happily accept assistance from any and all that want to contribute towards this goal

  19. fp 40 is tough...really tough....but the early funny pages are equally scarce and just don't seem to ever come up for sale!.... all fun!
  20. 56...57...58 sold today and another boardie considering a few....gotta buy some more!!!
  21. just under any ear after the arrow was introduced in 2/10 things get "good" with first cover on 3/7 the. The 35 up are generally "wow"
  22. BB 28 must really be an auction or online book...another convention went by where not ONE sole asked to see any of my copies...and prices are covered up shingle style, so that could not be a deterrent
