  1. In terms of timely importance mmc9 is right up there. Unfortunately has fallen out of favor lately and unlike optimistic Ben, there are way too many timelys in demand for mm9 to crack the top 15 (purely demand) for me these days I'm afraid to say... Maybe again down the road, who knows These are books id rather have than mmc9 Cap 1, 3, 46, 28,33 ,37 Marvel 1, mmc 40, 44, 46 All select 1,2 All winners 12 Human torch 12,13 Subby 12 USA 7,8 Etc
  2. I had never seen it. Supposedly 3 were found in the Lloyd j estate
  3. I wonder how many centaur collectors like myself have never seen
  4. Wow. This had fallen to page 4... I really am collecting an "interesting" publisher Picked this up this weekend from a good buddy Tyler (thank you sir !) Wasn't really even aware of its existence until he showed it to me recently. Using cell phone so sorry for quality of pics
  5. I was wondering who ponied up for that one! My kids certainly didn't.. I paid through the teeth... And to think Harley offered to me last month for 40% less than it went for...that's why I didn't bid higher. Wish he offered it to me....Arggggg.... Im not a dealer or dealer/collector...so I guess I'm entitled to be stupid at times... there are two 9.4's and one 8.0 and then it goes to 2 6.5's..... If the two 9.4's never see the light of day as I believe... it will be hard pressed to find another in grade...Its one of the tougher golden age books to find, at least in my experience.. You are correct. If I had of known you needed I'd have gotten for you.

  7. Having seen multiple copies of same issue they are fairly accurate. If they've been manipulated then that changes the landscape
  8. Suspense 3 is a great cover. Not much guts to it Speed 28 is cool Terrific 5 is awesome Amf 2/5 is timeless classic Amazing man 22 There are many books that fall in the really cool cover vein, but are not widely appreciated outside of a smaller circle
  9. Big time, although the 6.5 was really sweet. and went for a sweet price
  10. indeed. There are still many under appreciated gems. I'm always on the lookout
  11. got any left? What grades? nope. All sold.
  12. After the last 2 weeks auctions will there be 3-5 at your booth? nope
  13. nah...if I wanted to show off I would take a pic of all my copies and post, not just a fraction of them...and let's be honest, there is nothing challenging about owning multiple ih181...its just fun
  14. I believe that some CPR folks , if they do their due diligence and get grader notes that reveal "pressable" flaws will pay a premium... outside of that, it is just a "myth" from what I have seen (bid on, bought, etc).... sure there are examples of old label selling higher, but there are as many examples of new labels selling more.... it still should go back to the "buy the book, not the label" if you are purchasing as a collector... if you are purchasing as a reseller, then your milage may vary Thanks Rick. Your insight is helpful as always. (thumbs u All teasing aside, Gator is an fountain of knowledge on any scale. Well, you are a wealth of knowledge. Speaking of fountains, I never got around to asking the market value of a raw cleaned copy of Hello Pal #1, no other work done.
  15. there is a lot said when you have an auction with 4-6+ hulk 1's and only 1 sc 4 there is a lot said when you goto a convention and you see/count 32 hulk 1's for sale, but only 4 sc 4's for sale (3 of which are at your booth ) there is a lot said when you say nothing hehe

  20. I certainly didn't win them all, because several were just potential upgrades for me, but if I didn't have a copy at all, then I did try to win them
  21. I was the same with the 3(2)....I wanted it, but it just "felt" like someone wanted it more, so I backed off (plus I already had a copy)...but I didn't have a 4(3) so you are correct, I was going to keep going! glad you stopped
