  1. The adventure books are fun but we generally seem to be in a super hero centric collecting community so many cool books go under appreciated or even unnoticed The Fly and Jaguar are superhero books. Cut him some slack, they aren't big dollar books so he doesn't know what they are Sold several in SD this year so not only am I familiar but I have owned several copies recently (thumbs u

  5. admittedly, I do not...my personal interest is the only reason why...now, maybe it is lack of exposure to the car humour mags that has precluded me dealing in them, but I just have not been drawn to them
  6. I have a 1960 mattel tommy gun with a 1961 tracy sticker on it...pretty cool! I think in 61 mattel repacked their tg with the dt sticker that kids applied to it...bought it for $25!
  7. 8-10 k is range depending on presentation,pq, etc Thank you Gator visual presentation and quality of restoration plays a big role, so sometimes tought to "estimate" without specifics... (thumbs u for a 1.5, this has great presentation IMO. Colors are tough to get bright on a Cap 1, and this one has it. Not sure what the BC looks like but a nice 1.5 http://www.comiclink.com/itemdetail.asp?id=917322 no longer on comiclink, sold outside of comiclink? board transaction? great seller You're a great seller I've been doing "it" best I can since dallas, but no one gets it but me

  9. while I didn't buy this last 6.5 copy, I have seem to found myself buying a couple of other copies... oh, what is wrong with me
  10. I have only owned 2 allentowns, and both were the bomb diggity but I would absolutely defer to West ...he knows pedigrees like Bo knows baseball hehe
  11. having owned books from all the major predigress, I can tell you that Penns are not in the same league as MH, or Allentowns or SF/Reilly's... I equate Penns at only a slight premium to a non ped...they are fresh, but not "mile high" fresh perfect example, a few years ago, I bought a hangman 3, Penn copy..it was only about 10% more than a comparable looking copy non pedigreed...so I wouldn't pay a huge premium (naturally, which book and title could change my mind, but generically speaking)
  12. to answer that question, would need to know if you are grade conscious/specific or not and what your budget is? on the second note, I have seen almost as many flash as AS over the years, but seems like AS are offered on line more frequently (it used to be "the" title that golden agers collected foremost), so I would say the edge on apparent availability lends creedance to your statement... if you are not worried about grade, virtually all Hawkman "Flash" issues are available multiple times through the year, and a quick scan and I can find just about all of them on line right now or in the very recent past... so, set your budget and go for them...they are cool covers and even some of the stories are good (thumbs u
  13. Check back tomorrow. Rick will need at least a day or two to try to get into this mindset. hehe
  14. superman 14...easy choice for me (thumbs u
  15. I passed as well but probably shouldn't have in hindsight +1.. I believe he had it graded out as a 2.0/2.5 but thought it was around 1.5 which it is right now I could see it going as a 1.8/2.0 raw...2.5 would be pushing it.. it's a 1.5
  16. I passed as well but probably shouldn't have in hindsight
  17. Too much paper loss IMO... Remember cgc doesnt seem to grade so much on visual as structural... Is presents great for a low grade copy but I believe structurally graded correctly
  18. I think it is on the money at 1.5. Just my opinion

  20. Yup, I noticed, but I'm pretty sure the indicia says 61. I'm not sure why 51 is on the cover. Anyone with any info would be great It would seem that CGC have put on the wrong details on the label - your book is issue 51, dated Jan 46. Issue 61 is dated May 1946 He's right. Here's a pic of issue #61 (from Grand Comics Database): http://www.comics.org/issue/5094/ Yet another label error by CGC. there was a small hoard of cma in the early 50's found in a warehouse some years back...all uncirculated...tons of 9.0-9.4 out there, but still a FUN book (thumbs u
