  1. Plan to debut the collection at mega con next month but offers are always accepted and encouraged
  2. I think 34 is on the bottom of both the windex and the gator-dex
  3. No computer yet...we have an abacas though (thumbs u
  4. indeed...it runs in cycles... I can remember times when every copy was readily available if you have the cash, and in the future, it will likely repeat itself
  5. Here are my guestamates... Gator will have more accuracy... a 4.0 copy of tec 31 is approx a $20K book today a 4.0 copy of tec 29 is approx a $19K book today a 4.0 copy of tec 35 is approx a $16K book today a 4.0 copy of tec 33 is approx a $13K book today I responded before I saw this, so pretty much in the same ball park again (thumbs u
  6. right now (again, this is based on supply and demand) 29 in 4.0 is a 19-20K book 31 in 4.0 is a 20K book 35 in 4.0 is a 15K book 33 in 4.0 is a 12-14K book
  7. for my money, I'd want more separation between 31/29 and 35...I think a 5.0 #31 and 29 is worth more than $2-$3k than a #35 in the same grade. just the facts mister...just the facts... (thumbs u yes sir Well, the 35 is catching up to the 31 and 29, but wont pass them. The 29 and 31 will flip in desirability now and then. The 31 is more desired now but I can see the opposite happening not too long down the line. Personally, I like the 29 cover more. Much more action happening on the 29. I disagree...I think 31 will always hold an edge over 29, albeit only slight (I mean, it has for the past 50 years, not sure what is going to change now)....and I agree that 35 will always lag behind those 2... Agreed The 35 will always stay 3d but it has grown to become the 4th most desired issue after 27, 31 and 29 , without a doubt. Its tough to say that 31 will stay 2nd forever though. But no matter what that and the 29 will always be close, that is a fact too. I think it will be pretty firm soon that of course 27 will stay numero uno and that most likely 35 will become the unquestionable 4th. But I agree that 29/31 will always be very close and possibly flip flop around and around as time goes on. No matter what 29 and 31 are some great books. the price flip flopping would be dictated by supply and demand... since I contend there will always be more demand for the iconic 31 (though 29 is ultra cool too), then unless there is new supply added to the market, 31 will probably stay even or edge ahead in price... now, that is not to say that there will be periods where 31 is more available in the market, and 29 is not, and 29 will "blow up" price wise... but long term, pretty safe bet 27 then 31 then 29 then 35 (IMO)
  8. werent they a dead heat in price not too long ago? they still are today (thumbs u No, I mean exactly the same price (not off by even a dollar)... were they ? real world, they are pretty much the same... not sure what the guide says, as the guide is not really relevant on pre robin tecs
  9. werent they a dead heat in price not too long ago? they still are today (thumbs u
  10. and by edge, I mean demand/desirability... price wise, they certainly could flip flop

  13. I have an aversion to trailer parks. but I had this one picked out for our office
  14. $4-5K easy if it presents nicely for a 1.0 $4500-$5000 on the low end IMO... Thanks for the answers, and impressive synchronicity!
  15. Woo, not liking those numbers. and actually, every one of those numbers has already occured...they are based on "sales" and in one case, a strong/serious offer....I can't project prices out into the future, but needless to say I don't think they will be below those
  16. $4500-$5000 on the low end IMO... beatcha, but we are in the same ballpark
  17. $4-5K easy if it presents nicely for a 1.0
  18. a 5.0 copy of tec 31 is approx a $23K book today a 5.0 copy of tec 29 is approx a $22K book today a 5.0 copy of tec 35 is approx a $20K book today a 5.0 copy of tec 33 is approx a $18K book today now there are all kind of variables, like structure, presentation, what defects are visible, pq, etc...so, not all 5.0's are created equal... but, that is about what I have seen in the market over the last few years
  19. if only that were more "31s coming your way than 29s" I have had 5 tec 31's come my way in the last few months and only 2 tec 29's... I think I've mentioned this to you before, but when I was putting the run together for the first time in the early 1990's, and attending EVERY convention worth going to, every year for a decade, this is what I observed in terms of most commonly found for sale. List is ordered most common to least common: 34 36 37 30 32 35 27 31 33 29 28 The 33 was the most elusive for me back in those days, but the bottom three I would go a year or two without seeing a single copy at a show and if you recall, about 2-3 years ago, there was like 15 copies of 33 available...market has finally absorbed many of them... but it was the "scarceness" of 33 that drove the price up so much that 33 starting coming out to capture the $momentum Rick, what do you project market prices will be when comparing 29s, 31s, and 33s in the next 10 years? Do you see the 33 stabilizing and the 29 and 31 passing it? without a doubt 29 and 31 will/need to catch up and pass 33 in the guide, though they have long passed them in real world value already... 33 was always "important" due to the origin...but in the cgc world of today, covers tend to get more attention than content...so, my "gut" is that 33 will fall behind 35 in the guide (as it is already behind it in price)

I was collecting SA Marvels at the time No, but 34s and 36s were on guy's wombats next to Harbinger 1s 36's did use to be "way" more available, didn't they

  22. I do remember not seeing 32s a few years ago. Then suddenly that book had 3 to 4k price ranges in vgish range popping up. But people are not jumping on copies (example given) like metros 4k copies today. I surely wouldnt pay 4k for one. A nice low grade unrestored copy does just fine for me. and there is less demand for 30, 32,34 and even to an extent 28, due to the non bat covers... so, there are a myriad of factors that come into play
