  1. yes, the 5 was the first of the bunch I got last year, it is at cgc now, I believe (and is the detroit trolley copy... 8.5/9.0 ish).... #8 is on the way from my bud, "PL"... #6 should be in transit to me, as well as....3 and 7 I scanned, but no one seems to like them so I didn't post... group shot in a week or 2, I hope... then, RYAN, onto Daring Mystery Well, I'm actually in good shape for your entry into the DARING's... I think I have the tough ones out of the way!! Thanks for the warning, though! Richard: be strong... BE STRONG... (congrats on your MYSTIC run, Rick!!! You'll be onto USA's in no time!) well, I have USA 7 and 11, only 2 I "really" want...so, no USA's in the forseeable future

  4. Best cover of the run...Fabulous book, Gator! ...Best cover and possibly the scarcest, Rick's copy is just awesome! GE i like 2 the best, and 4 is MUCH tougher. but we do agree on gator's being awesome. I agree Billy! #2 is my favorite of the run (thumbs u ronaldo, sometimes a book may not seem the best of the run, but then along can come such a pristine, magnificent, dare i say virtual paragon example of said issue that suddenly it can bedazzle one into thinking it is indeed the best comic in a title. i present just such a case, and in fact the VERY LAST book i needed to fill my global run some time ago. i've been approached by the timely mile highs owner about a swap, but my momma never raised no fool. the tape serves no purpose whatsoever [and would be better described as "insignificant"], and it's just a scanning anomaly that makes the bottom left corner appear as if it has been burned off by the incinerator on the opposite side. the "42" in the logo is NOT on the book per se, but is written on the slab itself. there's a typo in the label [not "lable" gator]; the paper is actually "white to off-white." i'd send it in to get reslabbed, but can't trust the mails to get it there and back; if gator's detectives were found desirable by some compensated carrier, imagine the temptation this book would stir. any takers? going to post a few with labels (sometimes I type too fast, cuz, unlike a few select folks, I have to work for a living, and don't have time to type carefully ) first is billy's former nemesis turned mistress
  5. I agree...that copy looks every bit as nice as mine, probably for much less cost... a wise purchase (thumbs u I sometimes loose site of why I like restored books!

  12. I still get stuck on that barbarella pic...man, was jane hot, or what!
  13. Thanks Peter. It is the highest graded copy in the census (only 2 unrestored copies last time I looked) but there must be better ones buried in a collection somewhere. I don't know George. Besides the Church copy that might be the highest graded copy! Congrats again!! isn't the church copy only a gd (according to chuck's original list) There are Church copies as low as Gd? What is the lowest graded Church comic? in scanning the original MH list, no copy was graded lower than gd by chuck...but there were several I remember...
  14. Thanks Peter. It is the highest graded copy in the census (only 2 unrestored copies last time I looked) but there must be better ones buried in a collection somewhere. I don't know George. Besides the Church copy that might be the highest graded copy! Congrats again!! isn't the church copy only a gd (according to chuck's original list) Oh maybe I was just assuming it was high grade because the Tec 2 is a 9.0 and the tec 5 is also high grade, but the 3 and 4 were lower... what have I told you about "assuming"
