  1. That's it, all CPR is on hold! Seemed like some tiers were fine except express and walkthrough, but now it is bad across the board. That is a lot of books we're going to have to not send in, and back to owners. It's clear to me now the books that have been getting 2 grade bumps have been getting short changed, something I have suspected for a bit now.
  2. Seeing the same thing, slabs from 2019 dropping in PQ, and in grade. I am to the point I think it is best to hold off cracking slabs, especially express and walkthrough, sucks to spend a lot, just to get a drop for book that is clearly better than the first grading.
  3. Is anyone else noticing grading getting stricter every quarter, starting about a year ago? I am seeing CPR's go as bad as 2 grades down, WTF?
  4. We press tons of post 2000 shiney's. Plenty of keys there to press, but you might be surprised how many modern books are sent in for a press and grade, with values as low as $5, or that is what it says on the form, I am not a modern market follower.
  5. It's funny, I was thinking, You can take the CGC forum out of Joey, but you can't take Joey out of CGC forum. Go Go Caveman!!!
  6. Yeah, I thought so too. My observations of life is, everything is impossible until someone figures it out. Been so busy pressing my brains out, I haven't had the time to do the research. They don't go away every time, and I'm not sure why it works half the time and the other time half of the time it doesn't, yet.
  7. Really glad to hear he found a donor, dialysis is a horrible process to endure.
  8. Okay, I'm standing in front of the mirror now. Joey Post JoeyPost JoeyPost Hmmm, nothing happened.
  9. Oh joy, another thread without pictures, that should have pictures.
  10. Almost looks like coffee and coffee grounds. If so, just brush off the debri and call it a day. I would be willing to look at it in hand if you still think it might be mold.
  11. I tried and failed to find discussion in search. What I want to know is has anyone at CGC provided an explanation as to why special label books ( Marvel labels) have to have their own shipping and invoice fee?
  12. Trimming leaf-casted material hasn't been called "trimmed" in the past, and that would bother me if that is what's going on now.
  13. So, I was under the impression that "trimming" was considered amateur, and always got a "C". Anyone else notice this?
  14. It's not we want less, but CGC wants us to know less, and call even less. Example: Remember when you used to be able to see the grade and the type of label it was going to get before it shipped? Then you could call if something didn't seem right. I totally get it, cgc gets a ton of calls a day, and they're just trying to find ways to streamline their customer service, and processes. Hopefully a biproduct of these changes equals faster TaT's.
