Meanwhile we have THIS thread where we have a brand new member posting some pretty substantial books for sale right off of the bat, with no references and shaky pictures (no scans), who then gets angry and closes the thread because he's getting lowball offers and no serious inquiries (making sure to sprinkle in an implied jab at the members here and an insinuation that people like us are ruining the hobby and sending it to the dogs -- woof ). Shocking, I tell you -- shocking!

Picked up a bunch of books from Frank's recent sales threads -- raw and slabbed -- and, as usual, things couldn't have gone any smoother. The books were graded tightly, were a steal of a deal, and shipped quickly in bomb-proof packaging. Plus, Frank is a pleasure to deal with as well. Easily one of the best sellers on the board.

Another top-notch transaction completed, this time for four slabs from his recent sales threads. Consistently one of the best sellers here on the boards that I've dealt with.

That doesn't make sense though. He posted about having one lined up already BEFORE the then he took it, then he backed out. "Lined up" wouldn't have necessarily meant "Definitive deal to purchase", though. Without more info, we'll be doing nothing more than speculating. In any case, backing out of a four-figure deal won't do the "buyer" any favors for the future if he tries to make a similar purchase.

He posted this the day before in the thread: Beautiful book but it looks like I have one lined up already. It's more than possible that the "advice" he got was him culminating the purchase of the other copy, and not anyone actually saying anything to him.

I've done multiple deals with Hector, and it's always been perfect from top to bottom. When he's bought from me (as in my last sales thread), he paid immediately and he's friendly as can be. When I bought (from one of his last sales threads), he shipped quickly in superb packaging, and the books were graded spot-on. He's one of the best around here.
