  1. One of my favorite romance comic covers. Beautiful!
  2. Scrooge, that is a classic Kelly ABC sequence!
  3. Cripes, you have an eye for the stuff! Love all these! I hope I never hit dealer tables at a convention after you've been there!
  4. Great books, Scrooge! I always enjoy your posts. Here are some more...
  5. Great cover! Hope you don't feel too moth-eaten!
  6. Only one Christmas giveaway comic today - but it may be the granddaddy of Christmas giveaway comics. A Merry Christmas From Sears Toyland from 1939. Oversized, die-cut, this puppy is tough in any condition. Montezuma posted a peek at the inside of this comic earlier in the thread. Here are some more pics. You also get to read the heartwarming Richard Tracy strip in the comic, just full of holiday spirit.
  7. That Bill Everett drew water themes so well. He really should have drawn a water-based character or two!
  8. You know what's weird? There are tons of Christmas giveaways, but I can't recall a single Halloween giveaway. Oh, well - here are some more free Christmas comics.
  9. Thanks for posting those great Westerns and the fantastic Navy comics. I hadn't seen many of them before and they look GREAT!
  10. That is a really cool piece! One of a kind! I'm curious - nothing on the certificate itself states that it is for "The Angel." It does mention drawings and statements that were attached. Do you have the drawings or other attachments that show "The Angel" that they were trademarking? Thanks for sharing this!
  11. I agree! I am especially enjoying the giveaways! You are both certainly welcome! I'm glad you're enjoying them. It's an honor to be able to share these with some of the most discerning collectors on the planet!
  12. I posted this over in the "Christmas covers" thread, but thought horror fans might also get a kick out of it. This Christmas giveaway comic tried to cash in on the popularity of pre-code horror. The inside is just as weird as the cover, with evil elves and vampire mice.
  13. Here are some other pages from inside SPOOK Comics... From this copy, with a different hue to the cover.
  14. Christmas giveaway comics from W.T. Grant stores. Their character Jo-Joy had a comic once a year for 7 years. Each comic is 20 pages with a slick cover.
  15. Thanks! Looks like Gene Colan on the 2nd story. The art on the third story is quite well done. The artist for the 2nd story could be the underrated Gerald McCann.
  16. Here's a giveaway with a cool gimmick I haven't seen anywhere else. Produced by Promotional Publishing for Murphy's stores. 16 pp, self-covered. No date listed.
  17. Dell 2 in 1 Comic - Flip the book over for a different cover and story.
