  1. Outrageous! Horror From The Tomb is indeed a gem of a one-shot. Thanks for posting that!
  2. Welcome to the boards! You're too modest - nice "little" collection indeed! Keep 'em coming!
  3. You lucky guy! IMHO the first five issues of Menace are the cream of Atlas' precode output. Had you ever read these before? If not, I envy you! Congrats on some great pickups!
  4. Alanna, you have posted some fantastic books lately!!!
  5. All great books, BP. Love the Crandall cover on this!
  6. Cross posting this in the Gerber thread. This is listed as a Gerber 7, but I wonder if it's more like an 8...
  7. Scrooge, you're a champ! They are definitely from the same publisher. These are also printed on one side only, but don't have any staple holes. They may be proof sheets or unbound pages. I have one or two of the booklets. They must not be too hard to find - I've seen the envelopes and booklets for sale. Fun stuff from a small regional publisher!
  8. Just posted these in the "Favorite Covers" thread, but thought they might enjoy lurking in this thread, too. Please excuse the two post code covers - hopefully they match some pre-code work for creepy effect.
  9. Recently picked these up. Legal size, printed on flimsy paper. Printed around 1944. Credited to Art Litho Co of Houston, Texas. Artwork by Victor (Vic) Green. Does anyone have any more information on these? What was their intended market? How were they distributed?
  10. This thread needs a bump! Posted these in the "Run Triple" thread, but thought they could do double duty here. First three issues of Comic Monthly, the first monthly newsstand comic book.
  11. You are right - that is definitely Palais, not Warren Kremer as listed on GCD. Fantastic copy of a very tough book!
  12. Those are great! But I have to ask... Did you glue them to the coverless comics?
  13. These are great! Thanks for sharing them. They show a side of Blondie few know. I like the more substantial art before it become so stylized and formulaic.
  14. It is indeed a Golden Age of Comic Strip and Comic Book reprints. Also of note are: Popeye series from Fantagraphics Little Sammy Sneeze by Winsor McKay from Sunday Press. Great hardcover collection of rare McKay strips. Complete Dreams Of The Rarebit Fiend, also by McKay, from Ulrich Merkl. An amazing hardcover book - expensive, but the best collection of one of the best strips ever.
  15. 1955 SENATE INTERIM REPORT - COMIC BOOKS AND JUVENILE DELINQUENCY Note this is a different version - a Committee Print - which presumably was distributed only to actual members of the Committee.
  16. 1955 SENATE INTERIM REPORT - COMIC BOOKS AND JUVENILE DELINQUENCY This is scanned from a xerox copy of an original.
  17. 1950 REPORT TO SENATE COMMITTEE ON JUVENILE DELINQUENCY "A compilation of information and suggestions submitted to the special Senate committee in interstate commerce relative to the incidence of juvenile delinquency in the United States and the possible influence thereon of so-called crime comic books during the 5-year period 1945 to 1950 Printed for the use of the Special Committee to Investigate Organized Crime in Interstate Commerce" Whopping 254-page report. This cover is scanned from a xerox copy of an original.
  18. 1954 REPORT OF THE NEW YORK STATE JOINT LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE TO STUDY THE PUBLICATION OF COMIC BOOKS
