Congrats buddy. Though that means your registry set is outpacing mine by an even larger margin with that acquisition. Oh well, guess I'll just have to settle for second best (if and when I ever bother to post my set).

    * How I determine "status": recognition + popularity of book + popularity of character + value. Not everyone may agree with all placing, but it will be close. Books that are expensive, but not necessarily recognized (like Albedo #0 first printing variants) aren't going to be "major keys" and so forth. Likewise, a book may not necessarily be very expensive, but may be immensely popular, to be considered a "key" (a la X-Men #248.) Status can and has changed over the years.

(if you see an issue missing, check the date range given. It might fall out of that range.)

    Did I forget anything....?

    Holy ! I'm impressed....

  4. Anybody have an opinion on these CGC Subsription Services that will purchase comics you want, get them CGC graded, and sell them to you for a set price? The price is set for 9.8's but if they come in higher they sell those to you at a higher price... Pro's /Con's??

Thanks in advance for your opinion!

    James

  5.

    hm

Was that you???? I promise not to cuss you out too much.....

    wasn't me

    I don't need another :cloud9:

how is that Joe #94 slab among others treating you :hi:

Have I bought slabbed Joe's from everyone on here????? lol

I love them all man!!!!! Keep them coming!

  6. It'll be exciting to see where this thing goes. Will it approach $2k?

Well it broke the $2000 mark - I'm going to blame you!!!!

Interesting. I wouldn't pay anything close to that myself when a nice 9.6 can be had for under $300, but I'm glad overall. Maybe this sale and the release of an actual full-length trailer for the movie can stir up a little interest in the books, which have otherwise been in free-fall (at least certified copies) for the better part of the last year.

    it didnt break 2g!

sorry, sorry - my bad - I thought it was referring to the one currently on E-Bay... many apologizes...

  7. I'd be interested in that. I'm in the same boat working on my 9.8 set however I sometimes get some extra 9.6 and 9.8's. I'll keep my eye's open for that.

By the way - there's a GI Joe #21 CGC 9.8 on E-Bay right now. Up to $1500.00+ as of right now... (partly due to me - but they've gone pass my limit!)
