I received mine a few days ago. In my opinion, this book is a must have for anyone buying or selling comic books. It is very well written and organized. I especially like that one full page is devoted to each of the over 100 defects that can be present In a comic book along with photos of each one. The only thing I would add for the next edition would be additional pictures of comic books in each grade in the numerical grading section, sort of like the Overstreet Grading Guide. It would be nice to see 3 or 4 examples of books in each grade, showing how books with different defects can arrive at the same grade. All in all, a fantastic book that I will refer to often. It is not only a terrific reference guide, but is also fun to read. Thank you Matt and CGC. I have been waiting for a book like this for a long time!

I remember back in college in the 80s when I got back to my dorm with my weekly books. If a new Groo came out that week, it was always the first book I read. Always a good read! I wish there was a Groo Omnibus!

This goes both ways. When I was at a show selling some certified books, if the most recent sale was lower than the 90 day average guess which price was used when the dealers determined a percentage of gpa to offer me? Hint..it wasn't the higher one.

I emailed them and they are going to look into it. Even Heritage only charged me $28 on a 2k book. This book was $241.

I won my first cgc comic from Hakes Auctions for $241 last night I was stunned when I got the invoice today with a $40 shipping charge! This is ridiculous. Have any of you encountered this excessive shipping charge from them?

The thing mentioned that I think is also affecting sales data in gpa are sales at conventions. I have beem to two shows in the past 3 months and bought some expensive books. Not only won't those sales show in GPA but I used the money at the shows that would have spent in an online auction. I believe shows have to be hurting auction prices some.

I remember that Groo was the first book I would read after picking up my weekly comics in college in the mid to late 80s. It was well written and very enjoyable. I looked forward to it. Are there any Groo compilations or omnibuses that anyone knows of? I havent seen any.
