What is the issue with slabs starting with serial numbers 3 or 4?

I also attended Megacon this past Friday. I had a great time. I wasn't there Saturday to experience the internet problem Bob mentioned above. I strongly agree about setting up all the comic book dealers in one area. It was annoying having to try and find some of them. Too bad next year's show will be the same weekend as another major show, I will see what dealers will be at Megacon and decide if I will return next year. Normally, I would definitely be going. Overall though, I had a great time and picked up some very nice books.

That is interesting...I know the head grader at CBCS was Steve but not who it is at CGC.

I recently purcased a CGC 7.0 silver age book in the mid-gen holder and there were notes. That's kind of odd.

Thanks for getting back to me. I certainly did not get a discount for the stamp when I bought the book a few months ago. I would prefer the book without the stamp but it did not deter me from buying it.

Is this considered a UK price variant? It is a US version with a US price tag, nothing noted on the label. It just has a UK distribution stamp, almost like a date stamp. Any idea how much the stamp hurts its value?

Thanks. CGCs stance on treating tjem as distrbution stamps witg no effect on the grade makes sense as they are US printed books that just got distributed in the UK.

I asked because I own this book and when I biught it, there wasn't a discount due to the stamp.

Is the value of a book with the 8d stamp any different than if the stamp was not there? Say a cgc 5.0 book was work 1k. Would it still be worth 1k with the 8d stamp on it? I ask cause these are US comics with US prices on them that were only distributed in the UK. Thanks!
