  1. How much for an extra wig, just in case I feel a little freaky?
  2. i GUESS so, I was trying to figure that out myself. There's...a lot going on here ha
  3. Yeah, thanks for looking out, I had the coupons but didn't find much. I'd hoped to use the 50% coupon on a Mickey Mouse Color Sundays box set I'd had my eye on, but someone beat me to it. So, didn't really find anything to use it on. Oh well!
  4. A couple of dollar books from HPB today. I pretty much never run into the Rebirth newsies around here. Would love to put together a set but it'll be slow going, I'm afraid.
  5. I haven't been buying much lately (preparing for Louisville Galaxycon in a couple of weeks, and Xmas shopping after that) but I did get this FF 110 error copy. Always loved this variant. This one is an absolute rag, but I still dig it. Not much else to report, just some low and mid grade Kirby books I've found here and there.
  6. Found this today while bagging and boarding some beaters. Previous owner apparently not a fan of law enforcement. Could use some work on their joke phrasing here, though, maybe do it more like a Bazooka Joe zinger: "What do you get when you soak a cop in vinegar", something like that.
  7. They also have a gloriously stupid Thanos R/C car, where the design of his helmet is integrated into the chassis, and the gems are on the engine. I have no idea why it exists, and I don't normally care much one way or the other about Thanos, but this is exactly the sort of dumb thing that tickles me.
  8. I have a pretty good hunch (as in I saw her buy it) that I'll be getting one of these for xmas!
  9. I would say that you guys need a hobby, but then I realized you're posting in a hobby forum, so, uh, carry on!
  10. I don't buy statues anymore, but I gave that one some serious thought. Still thinking, actually...
  11. If anyone is interested, Target is running another of their B2G1 sales on movies and books right now. They've done a few of them, the current one is up at the end of the week. They have a surprising number of graphic novels available. I will caution that a lot of the prices, especially on recently released stuff, are terrible, full MSRP. BUT, there are a lot of good prices out there that are on par with IST and Amazon, depending on what you're looking for, and B2G1 makes for a great deal. For instance, I finally got all caught up on the DC Deluxe Rebirth hardcovers, most were $22 or $23, B2G1, can't beat it. (Of course, I got caught up just in time for them to apparently cancel the program...)
  12. What's up with the binding, is it glued? I sold off my individual HC's in anticipation of this collection, hopefully I won't regret it!
  13. One one hand, this is definitely how I feel about it. On the other hand...it sure is purty! I'm thinking this one may go on top of my Xmas list. I've been a pretty good boy this year!
  14. We have very similar tastes! I will say that the Fanta Duck books (both Barks and Rosa) are one of the few series that I've managed to keep up with, as I always ask for that year's gift sets for xmas from my mother-in-law. So every year at the end of the year I get caught up on my Ducks, and I try to space their reading out over the year. I usually save them for the fall and beginning of winter, when it gets dark out and seasonal blues start to kick in. They are remarkable comfort reading. I will pony up for the Moore Swampy Absolute as well, for sure. I just finished re-reading my BA Swamp Thing Omni, and am ready to continue the story. I haven't read the Moore run since my 20's, in trade form. As for floppies, I don't really buy new ones much, so not an issue for me. I have been keeping by Batman run going for a long time, and usually just file them and read the collections when they come out. But I'm tempted to just go ahead and drop the monthly book, as they just take up space and aren't read anyway. Otherwise, my relationship with floppies is that I will likely buy the first issue or two to sample, and if I like it, I'll then wait for the collection.
  15. No kidding. I've avoided the international stuff for the most part, but you may have started something here!
  16. As far as I know, it is an original creation of my diseased brain, but I'm willing to share credit with anyone dumb enough to confess to thinking it up!
  17. Be careful if you get Caspers up your ying yang. You have to fumigate to get them out of there, and if you don't, they may turn into Hot Stuff.
  18. That SAS Hawk and Tripwire are boss! Man, always something new to look for!
  19. I think the boards have had great impact, for good and ill. Personally, I got into the boards way back when I discovered the Infinite Picture Frames thread. I had no idea that anyone else liked these covers, or that there was even a term for them. It definitely drove my interest in those books, and many others, over the years. Lots of folks have gotten turned on to really cool stuff because of the boards. The flipside is that I don't think there was as much of a focus on nosebleed grades before the boards and slabbing in general, which has sucked some of the fun out of the hobby. I personally still just buy books I like in condition that is good enough for my standards, but you see a lot of people who aren't content with anything below 9.8, which is a shame, because there are a lot of beautiful 9.4's and 9.6's out there!
  20. Ha, not surprised, if we didn't already know it was Bloodshot, there'd be absolutely no way to tell it was based on the Bloodshot comics property. Figures.
  21. I remember when you could pull the AH book out of dollar bins. I had a few. Sold them all too cheap a long time ago. Such is life!
  22. Oh, around here you don't have to wait long, the Rifleman's log is bound to turn up eventually.
