  1. The time and energy going into restoring a book like that is significant. Unless that book has extreme sentimental value, it's almost better to use your time working to earn enough money so you can just buy a better copy of the book.
  2. I agree, Galactus on the big screen would be amazing... if done correctly. In the comics, Galactus works well. In a movie...well, I have questions...mainly physics questions.
  3. I agree with Ben. FF is a great comic book team, but a difficult one to try to fit into the MCU on earth as we know it. It will take a GREAT STORY to make FF work with a broad audience. Doctor Doom, on the other hand, is a great villain that can rival any of the remaining heroes. (BTW: I have faith that Doom's costume won't look horrible). I think this is what most MCU movies is lacking is a formidable adversary. An adversary that is not necessarily killed at the end of the movie. Maybe the movie will revolve more around Victor than anyone else.
  4. I actually prefer the weekly releases for shows like this. (Go ahead and call me crazy) It gives me something to look forward to during the week, and with a 45 minute episode, I don't need to commit a large chunk of time devoted to being in front of the TV. (I'm looking at you Avatar: Way of Water). The pattern I have noticed is that the last few episodes are much better than the first few episodes. I hope that continues for Secret Invasion. New Marvel & Star Wars series is the main reason why I subscribe to Disney+ anyway.
  5. People camped out to get Batman movie tickets. People went crazy for anything Batman. It was a while since a good Superman movie was released, so there was a big demand.
  6. I shipped a few books this past week. I definitely was inspired by Pukie's design. Gem boxes first. Then box within a box design with lots of bubble wrap. I feel better about the chance that the books arrive undamaged.
  7. I see. Thanks for insight into the way things work. I had no idea how compensation works in the comic book industry. This seems much fairer compared to what was mentioned in the documentary. Thanks!
  8. I did not forget about these. 2 are animated, and 2 are R-rated. PG-13 movies tend to generate more money. For example, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania pulled in $214M. Can Sony Pictures make a decent 3rd movie in the series? Only time will tell. I hope so, but I wouldn't bet on it.
  9. What is it with Sony Pictures and making bad superhero movies. Jeez...Spiderman 3(2007), The Amazing Spider-man 2 (2014) Morbius, Ghost Rider, The Green Hornet... Seems like their biggest hits are when they collaborate with Marvel & Disney.
  10. Does this really matter though (who created what) because everyone involved was working for the parent company (Marvel) at the time? Doesn't the company receive profits from sales, or do the writers/publisher/artists receive a commission based on sales?
  11. It seems the opening credits were made using AI art. Article from polygon.com is HERE It seems a bit "gimmicky" to me, but I'm not the one making the show.
  12. It is just sad when great ones do not realize the magic they have together (see Lakers: Shaq & Kobe). But it seems the pace of work at Marvel at that time was unsustainable.
  13. As with most Disney+ series, the first few are usually the weakest episodes. However, this series is off to a good start.
  14. Apologies if this was answered in another post. I could not find a definitive answer. I want to send in comics that are already bagged and boarded. Do I need to re-bag these in the bags provided by CGC's shipping kit, or can I submit them in their original bags? I don't want to take any unnecessary risks trying to re-bag books if I don't have to. I also don't want my submission being somehow rejected by CGC for not following instructions. Thanks!
  15. MR. FANTASTIC: Aright, team. We've got a situation in Latveria. Dr. Doom is up to no good once again. DR. DOOM (smirking): Ah, the Fantastic Four, as predictable as ever. You cannot stop me, Richards! INVISIBLE WOMAN (mocking tone): Oh, Doom, you really need a hobby or something. Your obsession with world domination is getting old. THE THING (grumbling)I don't know why you always think you're so special, Doom. You're just a big metal tin can. THE HUMAN TORCH (raising an eyebrow): And you're not exactly winning any popularity contests, Thing. How about we focus on stopping Doom and save the bickering for later? Senfeild Bass Riff: FADE OUT
  16. IMHO, this is what happens when the writer/director tries to be funny instead of just focusing on a good story. Thor: Love & Thunder tried too hard to "recreate" the humor in Ragnarok, that many of the jokes fell flat.
  17. I wouldn't take a chance on it getting damaged. The picture above is BEAUTIFUL! Bubble wrap and another box is what I used. (By watching the CGC Submission Video)
  18. My first CGC graded comic from my collection. I was a little scared sending it off, hoping that it would arrive undamaged, but it came back looking fabulous! Thanks CGC!
