  1. Holy Krap! I wonder if the two will fight, but later join forces to fight a bigger foe?

    No Way!

    CALLED IT!
The issue of scale between the two monsters is something that is already being worked out. “A source close to Tull says Legendary is confident it can come up with a rationale to explain how Kong and Godzilla can do battle,” writes THR. “And possibly become allies.”

The Apparent Demise Of Pacific Rim 2; More King Kong V Godzilla Details

  2. Someone hit the BIN. It's listed under the registry set for Stinkowhiff. I sent him a PM and asked the eBay seller to reply through the boards. I am guessing I won't hear back.
I would be genuinely shocked if he replied on here.
  3. Rumor: AKIRA To Be Trilogy, Christopher Nolan Possibly Involved

The saga of the long-gestating Warner Bros.’ live action adaptation of Akira is a rumor that suggests the project will be a trilogy, and that The Dark Knight’s Christopher Nolan has spoken to Warner Bros. about taking on the project.

Den of Geek reports that they’ve heard Nolan has met with within the past three months with an unnamed filmmaker previously attached to the project. Nolan’s next film is slated for July 2017 and, while no details about the film have been released, the gears on this massive project would have to be spinning pretty fast for the first Akira movie to make it to theaters by then. That said, Akira would make for an appropriately huge summer blockbuster effort.

 Unless they actually have this take place in JAPAN and have primarily Asian actors and is at least R then I won't see this. Why call it AKIRA if it takes place in the states with White people?
  4. Godzilla Versus King Kong Film Appears To Be In The Works!

According to Deadline, Legendary is moving Kong: Skull Island from Universal to Warner Brothers "to unite the property with Legendary’s other giant franchise, Godzilla."

They're reporting that a Godzilla versus King Kong movie will go into production after Gareth Edwards' Godzilla sequel is released in 2018. They added, "I’m told this is happening very quickly with moves going all the way to Japan, where Godzilla rights holder Toho is based."

Holy Krap! I wonder if the two will fight, but later join forces to fight a bigger foe? hm
  5. Rumor: Warner Bros. wants more Batman, less Superman in ‘Batman v Superman’

Heroic Hollywood says that Warner Bros. wants more Batman and less Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Warner Bros. must be very impressed with what they’ve seen so far, as they’ve already approved a solo Batman movie that Ben Affleck will direct, star in, and write with DC Comics’ Geoff Johns.

Sigh, and once again Warners returns to the fallback position of Batman, batman, batman. And here I thought they would actually give other heroes the limelight for once.

  6. I wish the merry band of I diots running DC comics would disband.

The comic creators, movie creators, or both?

I'd like to see the superhero movie division broken off separately, with its own P&L. Then it would be forced to show an on-going profit with all its ventures.

The geniuses behind DC comics, comics universe. Hasn't been the same since the new 52.
  7. I think the lead girl is a perfect fit - but the biggest potential problem with this show is that in todays society, violence against women is (quite rightly) absolutely taboo.

Take the shot earlier in the thread of Supergirl being held by the throat - can you see anymore violence in this show than that?

She isn't going to be kicked senseless in Ep#1.....

I appreciate that this is a good thing!

However, and here is my concern, the lack of violence/grittiness/edge really limits the market audience. Anyone in their teens may just find this too wishy-washy, whilst young children may find the multi-villain plots confusing (I read 9 already in season one in this thread - yes?)

I guess this show needs to decide from day 1 wether its a mum/dad/lil kids and apple pie show, or something harder.

A mix of both would be a disaster. DC needs a win here, for it's entire Universe.

Fingers crossed for a clear target audience from Ep #1.

Seriously? 9? Wow, WB's really likes to pile on all the villain's early.
