aabruzzese replied to aabruzzese's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
Depends which one's. I am debating if I should simply Grade the Keys and sell the rest at the moment. -
Peter Parker Spectacular Spider-Man full run
aabruzzese replied to aabruzzese's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
I believe that there are a few issues missing on the top end. Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #1–100 (October 1976 – January 1985) Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #100–133 (February 1985 – October 1987) The Spectacular Spider-Man #134–200 (November 1987 – March 1993) The Spectacular Spider-Man #201–263 (April 1993 – September 1998) The Spectacular Spider-Man #264-290 (July 2003 – April 2005) I also have all the annuals to go with it. The Spectacular Spider-Man Annuals[edit] 1 – [Mantlo/Buckler] "And Men Shall Call Him... Octopus!" – September 1979 2 – [Macchio/Mooney] "Vengeance Is Mine... Sayeth the Word!" – May 1980 3 – [Kraft/Sherman/Weiss] "Dark Side of the Moon" – July 1981 4 – [DeNatale/Mantlo] "Memory Lane!" – July 1984 5 – [David/Beachum] "Ace" – July 1985 6 – [David/Beachum] "Ace II" – July 1986 7 – [Owsley/Kupperberg] "The Honeymoon" – August 1987 8 – [Conway/Gruenwald] "Return to Sender" – July 1988 9 – [Conway/Herdling] "The Serpent in the Shadow" – May 1989 10 – [Conway/Lee] "Into the Microverse" – June 1990 11 – [Conway/Hembeck] "The Ghost and the Machine" – June 1991 12 – [Brevoort/Fein] "Down and Downer" – June 1992 13 – [DeMatteis/Bingham] "Emergence" – July 1993 14 – [DeMatteis/Buscema] "Cycles & Circles" – July 1994 -
Peter Parker Spectacular Spider-Man full run
aabruzzese replied to aabruzzese's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
The books are all NM, I selectively replace any books below NM over the years. I am thinking of selling it as a set. I have #1 -> #263 Beyond that, not sure I would consider them the same volume or serires. -
aabruzzese started following PGM Amazin Spider-Man #212 , Peter Parker Spectacular Spider-Man full run , I am travelling to Phoenix AZ in Mid February and 3 others

PGM Amazing Spider-man 42
aabruzzese replied to WEBHEAD's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
I am tinking 6.5 to 70. Because of the back top cover and what feels like a bit less of a gloss on the cover. But it is a really nice book -

PGM Amazin Spider-Man #212
aabruzzese replied to aabruzzese's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
I should take it out of the bag at least once before sending it in. Just to make sure it is not fake. -

I just got this in the mail today, am thinking this one is for sure a high grade. It is bagged in thick mylar with a transparent solid backer. I am going to send it in for Grading next month when I finally send in my first batch. Am almost afraid to take it out of the bag. The book cover has no marks or dings or color flaws, I scanned it while it is still in the bag.

DIY Slabbing: Anyone use 'em for their display?
aabruzzese replied to The Man Without Beer's topic in Comics General
Where are you sourcing the DIY slabs? I am thinking of making custom sets as I give the books for xmas gift and bdays to my grand nephews and nieces. The lables will simply be with their name on it and a Custom Scale .. no fake CGC intended just a way to preserve gifts. -

Comic Books for Young Girls
aabruzzese replied to aabruzzese's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
No, I am in Canada but that does not really matter. It gets convaluted when you think of it like a "I give it to you now, but you will not really know about it until later when you and the books have aged". I want them to appreciate the collection on the long haul, and not just tear the books up without understanding. -
Comic Books for Young Girls
aabruzzese replied to aabruzzese's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
They are not in a position to really chose a book from a collectible point of view; at that age I am probably going to get a few readers as well as the more valuable copies for later down the road. -
Comic Books for Young Girls
aabruzzese replied to aabruzzese's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
No, actually reading them at the age-appropriate level they are intended for. I am looking at this where the books will be bagged - boarded for a while until when the girls will be able to read the content and not have it be a shock. or inappropriate. The parents can help grow the collection with them and i can still contribute a key issue or two now and then.
