Barton is fantastic- the best! The books are always amazing! The packaging is phenomonal! And the shipping is superb!
Stan Lee could not have said it any better.

If we take into account what OAAW 83 sold for in recent sales, should this book be placed on the 42nd edition of the OSPG's top 20 Silver Age books? It seems clear that this book will sell for more in the same grades as numbers 19 (FF 2 and ASM 2).
What do you think?

One word- Awesome!!!!!

Fantastic books Barton! Gil Kane was the "King of the Bronze Age Picture Frame" format in my humble opinion.

Does any one know or have info showing the year by year sales circulation for the DC War titles during the BA (1970-1980)?
Thx

That 4.5 is going to sell for more than $2,000!

Awesome books- OAAW 83 is the Action Comics 1 of the War Comics. You guys are so right, this book has no where to go but up. I have a CGC 5.0 but no scanner. I'll try to get my wife to take a digital photo.

What's the 4.5 going to go for on the Link?

Kubert at his best!

Andy, if it's not to late and if no one has nominated it yet- I'd like to nominate Star Spangled War Stories 154 and 159.
Great work Andy!
Thanks,
John

Hi Shep,
I like the list (I will always respectfully have a different view as to SSWS 151- 1st solo Unknown Soldier- but we went discussed that a while back in this thread).
I might add Unknown Soldier 268, Weird War 64, 93, and 101?
Do you think the OAW 242 is a BA key?
I have a SA question to ask you- how many Rock prototypes were there before OAW 83?
Thanks,
John

Congrats! Having every BA War book is an incredible accomplishment!
I finally got G.I. Combat 138 (raw 9.4-9.6) and OFF 123 CGC 9.4. I'm just trying to get all the BA War keys. So when I say I'm amazed by your accomplishment, I really mean it. By the way, what makes your list of BA keys?

Gil Kane is the "King of the Picture Frames"- 119!

Those are amazing books!

Thanks Shep. I wonder if there are any war comic collectors out there who have collected the entire run for each of these runs?

OAAW 83 is a book that would place higher than some of the most recent OSPG Silver Age top 20 SA superhero book in terms of value. The most recent sales support this. Rock's 1st app. is in the big leagues. It is in my opinion, the first war key to compete with the superhero books. This makes it not just a war key but a major SA key. It's the book to grab even if 3 grand will now probably get you a 5.0-5.5.
