It's hard to follow those Exciting 1's but here is one of my favorites as contribution to this thread.
In before 20,000. Woohoo!

My latest Fiction House book....waiting for a while to find a decent copy...
One of my favorite things about this forum is seeing a book posted that I never really noticed before. I have seen this many times while flipping through the Gerbers but it never stood out to me. Seeing this photo makes me really appreciate what a great cover it is. (thumbs u

A beautiful Jungle 20.

Last post for 1 year minimum outside of the Marketplace Forums & PM's.
I seek the return of my adulthood.
Long live the Conan Comics thread.
, adulthood is overrated.

I could go through Gerber and pick 100 and order them. A week later my order would be completely different. High on my list for now:
Daring Mystery 1
Fantastic 3
New Adventure 27
Suspense 8
Weird Mysteries 4

I got a nice book from Gator today so, I thought I would post it here!
Awesome book. Love that gorilla cover.

A year later I have one in 7.0.
And that's after a cold shower.

even when the bottom-line number is fairly modest, paying many multiples is hard for me to swallow. but this is a HARD little book to get, and i've been after it for many a moon. punch 12, and the chesler run is dun.
I love that book. When I first got into GA books last year it was on a list of about 10 or 15 comics I was going to go right out and get in VF or better. Never even considered the possibility of paying over guide when I got them either. A year later I have one in 7.0.

The B-Bar-B's are new to my list, look like fun reads. I liked watching the Lone Ranger reruns as a kid but am not familiar with Red Ryder except seeing a comic pictured here and there. I'll get a few and see how I like them. Thanks for the posts.

That's one of my favorite BH covers and contains, IIRC, an excellent Crandall splash/story inside.
Thanks guys (thumbs u
AS is correct. The splash to 69 is excellent. My hands are now baby free and I can scan it. Here it is -
That is an awesome splash in the 69.
Stay off Moderns and go read your Ducks and Westerns
Just admiring the Moderns. Love the Duck stories by the way. I have a big enough pile now to keep me busy for a while.

Love the Archie.

And post it here too just to bring this thread back to life.. I guess i'm an attention whore
If you've got it, flaunt it.

Great Shadow items.

If you have the time / desire to do so, I would recommend you do the leg work and check whose artwork graces any of the Four Color Dell Westerns. I recently got one in that is front to back Russ Heath. Any Dell Western by Giolitti is worth buying as are most Toth's Dell (Western or not), ... There are hidden gems in the series. (thumbs u
Thanks, I'll be sure to look into them.

I will check some of those out BB-Gun. After doing some more research I have seen so many books that interest me that I am going to stick to Pre-Code westerns for now just to narrow the focus some (with a few individual exceptions).
Thanks again everyone for the input and more ideas are always appreciated.

Make sure the seller has had ample time to respond to you (and that he has been active on the boards - you don't want to bash someone on vacation), but if they can't or won't give a satisfactory explanation, outing seems appropriate. Also, be sure that the book you think is the same really is. I would not want to get involved with time payments where the seller feels he can continue to try to get a better price until I make the final payment.

All these great covers got me wanting to by a few for myself. Are there any reputable pulp dealers someone can recommend? Any recent "price guide" type books?

The thread that wouldn't die!!!!
I miss that show.

My first Shadow Pulp:
Awesome cover.

One more book - the Central Valley copy (with bone white pages):
Oh, this guy Bailey drew this for the winner out of Adventure 57....Neat little piece. jb
That's awesome. What size is it?
By the way, I recently read your Lamont Larson article in CBM #71. Great stuff.
8 and half by 11
Thank you.
