  1. Message Titled: You are a loser....get a life

lollollollol What a joke....you are talking out of your arse, "you want proof you say" ? Go pound sand little boy...ahahhahahhahahahahhahahahah.I don't jump to prove anything to some dope like you.

I read through some of this drek, and low and behold the board's newest biggest but kisser ( that's you ) had posted over, and over, and over " let me lift my skirt and get out of the way of the big boys" ahahahahahahhahahahahahhaahahahhaahhahahhahahhahahahahah .

You are the "dirt bag" my friend...... anyone with as much to say without absolute positive proof is a loser ( what are you hiding ? ). ahahhahahahahhaahhahhahaha I will laugh my arse off all night at your posts!

How do you think I reacted to this? lol

I'd be afraid if I were you. All those "ahahah's" make him sound like a lunatic.

  2. thanks all, I just wanted to get a general feel for the marketplace before I start buying. I don't want to buy a run of issues at guide if there is a decent chance I could wait a little and find them at 25 percent off. Obviously not talking the hard to find issues or stand out issues.

  3. Just got this in today from the Comic Connect auction. It will stay in my collection for a long time, and at 3 1/2 times guide it's going to have to.

a mutliples book if there ever was one. is the snake simply a metaphor for her, or is her potion laced with rattlesnake venom? i just don't know, but i do like it.

    congrats, sir!

Thanks. I may not read the story. I like the cover so much that a real crappy story may ruin it for me. I choose to believe "metaphor" though.

That's one of Cole's best covers so you're safe to assume that it's better not to open the book. Congratulations!! :applause:

    lol lol (thumbs u

  5. I'd like to start collecting some GA or SA western comics. Does anyone have any recommendations. I have seen a lot of great covers in the Gerber books but good stories are a must, nice artwork a bonus. Long running titles, small runs or single issues. I also don't mind spending a few years trying to find that rare issue. I like more adult oriented stories (Gunsmoke, Louis L'amour...). Thanks for any help.

Oh boy, where were you a year ago when I sold a bunch of GENE AUTRY's, STRAIGHT ARROWs, ALL-AMERICAN WESTERNS, KID COLTs and RENO BROWNEs? I sold em on ebay for next to nothing. :(

Then there was the time I sold all my MASS. pedigree KID COLTS, RAWHIDE KIDs and TWO-GUNs to Metro....oh well. :insane:

A year ago I was in about my 10th year of not even thinking about comics. Didn't even know what a slabbed comic was until last July.

Could you elaborate on "adult oriented"? Do you mean gritty, hard-nosed stuff?

The Dell adaptations of novels are really good stories (Zane Grey), and in general the Four Color books had book length stories so they tended to have more elaborate plots. They also had serviceable art.

As someone else mentioned, DCs had great art. I only have a few of them but the stories are less elaborate but pretty good.

Thanks for all the input so far everyone. I'll have to start making some lists.

JohnT: as far as "adult oriented", I guess I mean something with a decent, believable and somewhat realistic plot. All kinds of western themes are o.k.: law men, outlaws, scouts, settlers, trappers, etc... Doesn't need non-stop action.

I hope that cleared up what I meant some.

  8. String of Pre Code books from c2e2. THe best thing about them, is the Dealers were really letting things go cheap. Almost all of these came from 1 booth where everything was half off on Sunday. Wall books, box stock, everything at the booth!

Easily my favorite of the bunch I picked up. Pure classic, and nearly impossible to find. I have never seen a copy in person before!

Nice copy. Mine has a piece out top right corner, otherwise not bad. Read the story. Overstreet calls it "classic story" which they never do. It's a hoot.

"How can I tell him that... I'm going insane?"

How can anyone not want to read that story? Is she going to bite his tongue off?
