  1. I took a look at some books locally yesterday and since I'm not a big collector of TMNT (sorry) so I thought I'd see if anyone was interested (just trying to help her out). The lady has about half a long box of TMNT books (OO if that makes a difference) including two copies of 2, 3, and 4 (first print 8 - 9 grade range, maybe better). She also had others but I passed. She's not looking to get rid of them, and at what she wanted I didn't think it was worth it for me to try and resale them. Anyways, if anyone's interested send me a pm of what you're looking for and I'll ask if she still has them. BTW, she did have a number one (3rd print). What surprised me was that she's not a collector but made sure she purposely pulled two long boxes of books that did not include many Marvel or DC.
  2. Out them. Sounds like they need to learn the rules.
  3. Wow. $8850 for the ASM collection. I'm guessing it will take a while to make a profit selling those.
  4. It was great doing business with Sam and thanks for the freebies!
  5. I don't know that anyone on the regular PL is banned. Maybe a couple, but not too many. Sorry I wasn't specific. I noticed primeinvestibles was banned in April. Just wondered what the "rules" were.
  6. So what happens when someone on the probation list gets banned? Should they be moved to the HOS list or do they stay on the Probation list forever? The probation list seems to be getting rather long.
  7. The PayPal fee? It also depends on if it is an international transaction or not. 3.9% transaction fee plus a fixed fee based on currency received Fees - gotta have 'em I'm hoping these guys catch on although eventually I'm sure their fees will go up. Me thinks this has gotten a little off topic. DWOLLA
  8. DAMN! Those are some nice mid grades! Florida SUCKS for garage sales or flea markets. If its a GA/SA book, you are VERY lucky if its even a 1.0. Even the BA/CA/moderns are pretty freaking beat from the heat and humidity And the bugs down there love comic books.
  9. You guys don't miss anything.
  10. You've given him ample opportunity to come through and he hasn't. If it were me, I'd send one last PM stating that since he hasn't paid, the book will be relisted. Even if he never reads it, you will still have proof that you've given him more than enough chances to pay. It's simple - put it back up for sale. Also, since he most likely will not get nominated here - who is it? You've been nicey nicey with pms so out him here and maybe he'll finally respond.
  11. Yep. Those lower numbers are a pain to find at a reasonable price and in decent shape.
  12. Since I got back into REALLY collecting several years ago I've been working on an ASM run. It's been really enjoyable to collect all the books I wished I could have had in my younger days. Most of my collection is raw and after recently picking up a mid grade copy of #2 from Dale I'm down to only one which is the most expensive - #1 (my run is currently #2 - 400 with more after up to the current issue). I'm not trying to brag, just saying it's been a lot of fun and hopefully I'll be able to complete it within the next year. BTW, there's some really nice collections here and I never get tired of seeing spidey books.
  13. There's a slight chance I get to play tennis with that guy in May. Never ordered from him but his website looks nice. Tennis? Thats different than the usual golf.
  14. But it undermines the system in place. Sure, you can sell to whomever you want, at your own risk, but I see it as a slap in the face to those who are still owed. +1 Folks can make all the excuses they want but that's exactly what it is.
  15. Vote? How will it make a difference? I questioned another sellers rules about HOSs "welcome" and it became a joke. His books were cheap and he obviously has friends here. So it was ignored and he still sold his books. I think it's good to have some rules, but there are always going to be those that chose to ignore them. I usually stay out of this stuff, especially when it's something we all know anyways.
  16. Thanks for the slabs and the fast shipping. Mike's easy to deal with as well. (thumbs u
