Larry Shell Benefit Art Auction on Heritage for Taxes & Garage Demolition Longtime collector and comics professional, Larry Shell, is having a difficult time right now. Due to his being disabled from two spinal surgeries over the past ten years, he is unable to work and earn a living anymore. This has caused his home of close to 50 years to fall into disrepair and the township he lives in has given him a limited time to make at least some of the repairs or face consequences of thousands of dollars in fines. which could ultimately lead to the house being condemned. It is livable and just needs a lot of work. To this end, Larry has contacted many of his comic book and strip cartoonist friends to donate a piece of Original Art for an auction to help pay for the repairs, starting with his garage which is leaning badly and needs to be demolished! This needs to be dealt with asap! In addition, property taxes for 2023 are overdue and non-payment would result in the township putting the house up for tax sale! Artist/Letterer RICK PARKER will be signing at NYCC! His table is located in Artists Alley - Table G-06 The con is being held on October 12,13,14,15 at the Javits Center in NYC! Rick was the artist for the Beavis & Butt-Head comic book series published by Marvel Comics and has been the letterer for over a thousand comics including McFarlane's SPIDER-MAN and the KRAVEN'S LAST HUNT story as well as many other titles! * Sharing the table with Rick will be The Legendary Tom Orzechowski (Letterer of X-Men and Spawn)!

These two (2) originals are an exceptional example of the work of DARREN MERINUK and are the front and back album cover artworks to THE MONSTERS – YOUTH AGAINST NATURE. The pride of Canada, Darren “King” Merinuk is a longtime artist whose work has appeared worldwide on record album covers, magazines and comic books. His first work appeared in fanzines in the 1980s. A huge fan of 50s/60s culture, Darren really digs drawing things in a vintage style. These originals have been kept for years in the artist’s personal collection and that is whom I am selling them for. * Darren will sign both originals and can inscribe them as well if the winner wishes, The Monsters band was formed in 1986 in Bern, capital of Switzerland. Their sound was a fuzzed-out mix between 60’s garage punk, wild teenage trash rockabilly and primitive rock‘n‘roll.
