  1. Yeah good point on that edge. It’s on the back cover too in the exact same spot.
  2. Last book I’ll post for a little while from my recent haul. This book also is the best looking copy I have seen in real life. I’m only concerned with small stress lines in the top left corner. I feel like the overall appearance of the issue is basically flawless when viewed from afar. Thanks again everyone for all your help!
  3. More books from a recent purchase. This is the best gloss I have ever seen on a silver age book. I mean when I first saw it I thought it was absolutely perfect. Not even a spine tic hardly. Annnd then the bottom right corner caught my eye. Something with the consistency of a sauce looks like it was spilled on it and stayed there. Luckily cotton rounds and an absorene pad got it off the front. There’s evidence of where it was but the book still presents beautifully. The back corner had it too and needed those tools plus a magic eraser on it. The stain also caused more page damage on the back than the front. What sucks is there’s nothing I can do about the dark spot in that corner that goes through the entire book. I’m really curious to know what such an excellent book will score with that flaw. If it’s super low I’ll just keep the book and have the best looking low grade copy out there. Thanks for looking!
  4. Another book from recent pickup. Only thing really concerning me is the staple placement but idk what kind of impact to expect since that’s a manufacturing issue.
  5. For those of you who submit a lot of pre-1975 books have you noticed more consistent and lenient grades using the High Value Tier vs The Vintage Tier? Asking specifically because I am wondering if it is more beneficial to submit borderline books to high value and pay the extra fee for more accurate grading. I would assume they have more veteran graders reviewing and handling the high value books instead of the rookie expecting a 60 year old book to have the same shine as something from the last 5 years.
  6. Trying to get an opinion to see if this is worth sending to CGC. Low census on this issue and I would love an idea of what to expect before sending it off. Thanks!
  7. Flip book cover spine gives me worry, but I don’t know if that’s normal for this kind of book. Sorry for the lack of background on my scans.
