I've never actually done it either. I am more into buying cgc books lately only if they are SS, a key book and/or a #1. Otherwise I will just look for a nice raw copy.

I don't get that auction at all. I would say there was something weird about the auction but the same thing did just happen with a 9.4 vs a 9.6. The 9.6 ended much lower than the 9.4.

That's bizarre though, I mean why not pay $150 for a 9.8 and then crack it if you want it raw?

Thanks, I think I can finally stop hunting down Moore sketched books now. I have a Rick, a Michonne, and a little skull, so I'm happy I was only going to leave my sig up for a week or so like that, but I love it so much, I can't bear to take it down. And what are you talking about, your sig is awesome!!!!

Honestly, I have paid more than I am willing to say for my little Moore sketches. Any one of you could have had them too had you been willing to pay crazy $$$. It's why I've been selling books lately I will have 3 now, hurray!

Just check the sig. When I get the book (probably a good week or so, I just finished paying for it tonight!) I will take a better pic for my sig. This is a book from a boardie so I know it has been seen before, it's new to me though

I will be seeing Adlard at the Bristol Comic convention, here in the UK, in May Yeah, send it to Gary and have him get it signed! That would be very cool. I've never seen one of the 50 variants signed by 3, much less 4.

Probably something like: "OMG! Look how much MY Walking Dead book sold for!" "No way! Look how much MINE sold for!" Et cetera, et cetera... Although I admit to enjoying watching the $700 book auction, I will say...

Nice Aaron! I need a WD 9.9. I won't be bidding on this one though - just a bit high for what I would want to pay for a 9.9 on this particular issue.

I pretty much only buy moderns, with a couple of exceptions. I love 9.8s, but I've decided I really don't care about having all 9.8s. I have a fair amount of 9.6s and a few 9.4s in my collection, b/c I would rather have all the books I really want than only a few in 9.8. 2 recent examples: Goon Avatar #1 9.4 Invincible #1 9.6 I bought both in lower grades, otherwise I couldn't have had them at all. IMO, a book that grades 9.4 or 9.6 is a nice looking book and one that I'm happy to own.

And Jeff, I'm sure you passed the 3 copy limit on every WD book a LONG time ago.
