  1. It's ok I know things have been nuts your way.
  2. Arrrrr.... that be the case. PMing you now . Where's my PM? I just heard there was a college-made comic by the creator. That's all. I'm j/k, Jerel I just meant you should send me a message to say hi. We haven't talked a whole lot, lately.
  3. Bryan - Yeah, my order went through just fine too. It's been over a week and they haven't sent me any messages saying it would be cancelled. I will let everyone know when the order arrives, if anyone is curious.
  4. Nope. Yup! How is it I have 10 copies in my shopping cart, then? No idea, contact them and ask? I guess based on that knowledge I would tell everyone to order them up and see what happens. Maybe some will sneak through? Hmmm. I did place an order for that book, from comixpress, on May 3rd. It still states in the order status that it is "received." I guess we should know shortly, it's been over a week since I placed the order.
  5. Arrrrr.... that be the case. PMing you now . Where's my PM?
  6. Sounds like we have another Comixpress Mouse Guard situation all over again, ma'am.
  7. (thumbs u I love this series, myself. Beautiful art and a very cool story. I'll agree with an earlier post, that this book "just feels special". I also find that due to the way Jeremy draws the pages, it can be somewhat difficult to follow the flow of dialogue. But that also seems to make me pay much more attention to what I'm reading. I just love it and highly recommend it. Yes, I know what you mean. It requires being involved with the book and really giving it all of your attention. It's great.
  8. The 4th print of #1 will be out in a month or so. So what printing are the copies that I thought were the first prints of #1 (the copies we have seen on the boards and the 10.0 copy?) Can anyone clarify this for me? I looked at the cgc label on the 10.0 and it doesn't note that it's a later printing. It would seem that these books are the second printing if there was a set done from 5 years ago - or are they just more recent printings of the same book but still considered first prints? Sorry, I'm just a bit confused. Is that book actually a 3rd printing of #1? Or are there just 2 other printings of #1 after that book, but I haven't seen them? And better yet, does anyone understand this post? I apologize in advance for my ignorance.
  9. Gary, I'm not sure how many printings. All I know for sure are: #1 first print - price range I have seen is about $40-70 #2 first print - have not seen any of these sell #2 second print - ranging from $5-10 or so if remember right on ebay #3 first print - ranging from $5-19 on ebay. (Those price ranges are supposedly for NM or better raw copies.) More prints should be coming though, from what I've heard, but I don't know any more than that. I am probably the least knowledgable person to ask, some of the guys may have better answers than me.
  10. Yeah, you did. You know what's funny? My LCS guy swears he showed it to me last year when it first came out. I don't remember this at all, but when I called to ask him about getting a #2, he said, "I showed issue #1 to you when it first came out! You should have bought it then. I was showing everyone b/c it was such a cool book." I maintain that never happened, I know I would have remembered. And of the two of us, I think I have the better memory. But it could have happened, especially if it was one of the times I was in the LCS with my 2 small kids running around, me trying to control them while picking out comics. It was funny though. I need to start listening to my LCS guy, he's smart. I just read what I posted and came off prickish... , not how I meant it (course as I read it how could I have meant it any other way...sigh) I laughed when I read that post, no worries. It's true! I only started paying attention to the book when you guys started talking about it. I swear I had never heard of it, no matter what my LCS guy tells me.
  11. Maybe I will send an email to the publisher and ask....
  12. Thanks for the info, I've been curious.
  13. Sweet! I am looking forward to getting my copy of #2, I don't want to look at my #3 until I can read them in order. It's annoying having to wait. Does anyone know what the print runs on the issues were?
  14. I've been graced with a Corky post!!!

  16. The books just feel sort of special, to me. You don't see something like this every day.
  17. It's done by Olympian Publishing. It has an Alice in Wonderland feel to it, in both the art and the story, at least it did to me. That was one of the first impressions that struck me. It may not be for everyone though. And first prints are pricey and hard to come by right now, but my LCS guy said he would be getting another round of reprints soon. If/when that happens, it will be a lot cheaper to get ahold of the books.
  18. It's about a cursed pirate girl, Doug. Here's something from the creator, Jeremy Bastian: Cursed Pirate Girl is an epic fairy tale of a cursed girl in search of her father. The only things she knows about her father is that she will find him on the Omerta Seas, and that he is a pirate captain. The fantastic waters of the Omertas hold many strange and dangerous creatures and forgotten evils; enlisting the help of two armored swordfish and a parrot with a secret agenda, Cursed Pirate Girl sets out on the perilous journey to find her father among the remaining pirate captains. But instead of a glorious reunion, the scheming of interlopers leads her to resurrect her father's most dangerous foe. When her friends and allies fall beneath the terrible sword and sorcery of this old enemy, it is Cursed Pirate Girl who comes to face her father's bane.
  19. So... Who's read it? Like it or dislike it? Don't get the recent hype? Want to read it but haven't yet? Who has a complete set of first print issues 1 through 3? Basically what I'm saying is...discuss I have read the first issue and I dig it. It's not my usual bag, but the art is beautiful and charming. Really fun to look it. The story is interesting enough that I wanted to continue, but the art alone is worth it. I picked up issue 3 as well and am currently working on getting issue 2, I want first prints of all 3 for my little set.
  20. 75 has a variant cover. I was hoping to find out what the ratio is going to be for the book Yeah, I've been wondering too.
