  1. 'tis mighty fine (was wondering tho...) Sorry...it's hard to get the tone I want online, I think I come off as too brash sometimes and I don't mean to - just my abrasive sense of humor. I'm well intentioned though
  2. Here's why I think that's so crazy - that's more than I paid for my cgc'd #1.
  3. Blech. One of the worst issues yet. The writing seems to have stalled (more like "come to a grinding halt" but I am being diplomatic here). I mean, it seems like they are just going through the motions now. The excitement of the first 48 issues is gone. The most interesting thing to happen in my opinion since issue 48 is when Kirkman gave that interview telling us a bunch of people were going to die. Then nothing happened (except for Dale getting knocked off) in the actual comic. I mean, where is this going? In the past, plot wasn't essential but we were getting a lot of character development. Now we aren't getting anything except cliffhanger after cliffhanger and that is starting to get old. I mean, the cliffhangers aren't leading anywhere! I'll continue to buy WD for a while longer- just like I'll continue to watch LaDanian Tomlinson. I just hope that both can regain their former glory. I disagree. I wasn't crazy about this issue, partly b/c I was expecting what happened, but it was mainly just a set up issue. I thought the last story arc was great. The only thing wrong with it *SPOILERS BELOW* was that they cooked Dale before they ate him, I wanted to see at least one of them turn. That would've been entertaining! Anyway I think the story is generally just as good as ever.
  4. Hawkman - I just re-read my post, sorry if it comes off a little harsh, I was trying to make fun of me, not you - not sure if that came across.
  5. Call me crazy but I don't even like that cover. That's the one WD related comic I'm not interested in adding to my collection. I didn't like the cover at first either, but I wanted one anyway - it's not my favorite, but now I like how different it is. I suppose that's the point, right? I bought my copy on ebay for $35 but I did pay to slab it too - looks like that will be a bargain. i got mine from a baord members' comic shop for $7.99 during san diego ocmic con a few years ago. What can I say, I just started seriously collecting this year, I'm late to the game - plus I have no comic friends to hook me up. I'm working on that This reminds me of that Kristin Wigg (no idea if I spelled her name right, sorry) character from SNL who one-ups everyone - "Oh yeah, well I got MY copy from Erik Larsen, he delivered it to my house in a helicopter for .99 cents. And now we're best friends too."
  6. The 9.9 Chew #1 just sold for $202, if I remember right. $2500 for the 10.0 is absurd.

  8. I just finished the new one too - no spoilers here but let's just say I wasn't surprised. Can't wait for next month.... On another WD note - did everyone see how much the cgc'd #50 variant cover just went for on ebay? It was a 9.8, WD #50 variant - closed close to $190.00 I was surprised to see it go so high! I have a 9.6 and was thinking of bidding just b/c I'm a freak and want the 9.8 - but it went WAY beyond what I expected.
  9. Today was a great Walking Dead day. I got all of these books in the mail on the same day. (From 3 different sellers.) Must've felt like Christmas day
  10. I want to see it! I never get tired of looking at them. it's not near as good a grade as the one in your sig, but I've been wanting an affordable copy for a while and when I heard it was a SS I just couldn't pass for how much was asked for it. It's at CGC right now. I'll get pics when it comes in. I usually have a hard time trying to decide whether I want the higher grade, or SS (I can't afford both most of the time). I just made the decision again with another cgc'd book and went with the SS over another one with a higher grade. So cool, congrats!
  11. Kudos to EvilAsh for my amazing set of Serbian Walking Deads, 3-13. Best packing job I've ever seen too. Thanks again!!!
  12. Wow.... Just got my Serbian set... I am blown away. These are so cool, and the condition is amazing, I didn't expect them to be so sharp. Thanks Steve!!!!
  13. I want to post this: about 40 times but maybe that would be inappropriate?
  14. Jackpot! I'm going to feel like I just won the lottery when I get mine!!!
  15. Hey everyone, thanks for the nice comments. I'm not sure how far I'm planning to take it with Chew with cgc'd books, right now I want to refocus on WD again, but I had that compulsion to get all the 1st prints and the 2nd cgc'd. And of course the Art(s) of Chew. And then I need that special edition 1st reprint coming out next January.... This isn't looking good for my bank account.
  16. Thanks for the info on the Serbian prints, anything at all is nice to know. That link was cool - I like what he had to say about the show. I was very happy when I 1st heard it was AMC that bought the option. I don't watch Mad Men but Breaking Bad is great. AMC kind of reminds me of FX, it's more cutting edge (The Shield, It's Always Sunny in Philly, Nip/Tuck) only perhaps less focused on shock and even more on quality.
  17. That's all that I have cgc'd in Chew, I hope the pics are clear enough to see, but pictured in order is: Chew #1 1st print 9.8 Chew #1 2nd print 9.8 SS Chew #1 3rd print 9.8 Chew #1 "Last Bite" 9.8 Chew #1 Limited Larry's ed 9.8 Chew #2 SS 9.8 Walking Dead #63 SS (by 4 - WD cover is SS by 2) and sketched 9.8 Art of Chew 9.8 SS and sketched Thanks for letting me share - it's fun to show off the Chew babies.
  18. There we go - figured it out! But thanks Boozad, you're a sweetie! Few more to come.
  19. Thanks Kathryn There are posters in this thread who have far better Chew sets than I do though, I just like to show off a little! Although Jason is going to turn my Larry's Chew #1 9.8 into an SS too I'm jealous! I have a 9.8 Limited Larry's but again, not SS. Now do you understand my envy?
