my guess is that 7.0 purple will be a 6.0 or 6.5 blue for that money If the SC22 becomes a 6.0 or a 6.5, there will be value or money made for the buyer.

don't know what people were thinking for this book- but based on other results this is the deadest "hot" title ever. the #9 9.2 went for 60% less than the last sale (probably because it looked like an overgraded POS). i picked up the #25 for exactly half the last GPA sale (and i probably overpaid). the #4 9.4 (a terrible looking 9.4) went for less than the MC 9.2. I thought it would sell between $8-10K. I would have love to purchase it at around $6K.

Mound City GL 1 9.2 was way too high. (thumbs u based on the $50k tim's 9.4 went for it wasn't outrageously high for an: unpressed, first 9.2 to market in years copy. this copy has a pretty noticeable dust shadow but structure is very nice. Could be just a soft market this time.

Rich, didn't the "resubbed" Mound copy just go for $18k and some change. Man, that $30-35k est seems awfully high...I mean, you wouldn't be pumping up the FMVs, would you? I'm working on a price list again soon. The SC22 8.5 Mound copy was sold during a soft market. Since it's been pressed, I value it between $20000-25000. If I were to sell my SC22 8.5 (strongest of the 8.5), I would sell it between $25000-30000...but market can change up or down. The price list on 10/9/09 is for crm/ow PQ only. Sorry to hear you got affected by the soft market (CL early February auction) I thought that 4.0 was another boardie's copies. The early February ComicLink was a comic crash for the SA similar to the 1987 stock market crash. It was a great opportunity to add to one's holdings. SA came back strongly one week later in the Heritage auction, but most books are still under their all time high...especially more so published between 1966-69 9.4-9.6. These are one of the best purchases in that auction. If I recall, these are the approximate prices. Most of these low sales are not listed in there auction archives anymore.
