  1. Maybe.... Just fascinating to finally see a SC22 9.2.
  2. True, but as PQ can vary from one re-submission to the next, how critical is this really, especially in the case of DC's? I hope not too damming, as 3/4 of my collection of DC's are CR/OW Didn't one of your SC22 got better PQ the next time around.
  3. 9.2 with that top right corner? I'm guessing without that corner wear, possibly 9.4...need to check a better scan. This book was just graded last week, 7/27. I hope CGC is not in another soft period because this book does not look 9.2. That upper right corner alone should limit it to 8.5. As far as eye appeal goes it is only mediocre. It is way off center, there's a mark in the big, white letter 'A'. Whether average for this book or not, CR/OW is not appealing to many collectors. I feel sorry for anybody with a nice 9.0. This 9.2 is not worthy of the best copy in the world status. I respect your opinion Bob, but I have to disagree partially. I have not seen the close-up scans yet. For all the 8.5+ copies, this copy has the best spine and corners (besides the top right corner)...it's a sharp copy. Less stress than the Keller or the former 9.0 sold on CL.
  4. 9.2 with that top right corner? Does the PQ affect the grade at that point? CR-OW is not as sweet as the rest of the grade... Obviously OW and better is prefer, but CR-OW is acceptable since that is the average PQ for SC22. Now, if this copy in 9.2 has white pages....rocketblast to the moon.
  5. 9.2 with that top right corner? I'm guessing without that corner wear, possibly 9.4...need to check a better scan.
  6. Its not even on the census yet... Was this a resuscitation of one of the 9.0s? Totally NEW copy. This is ludicrous.
  7. Ladies and Gentlemen. Showcase 22 CGC 9.2 CRM/OW http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fsearch.asp%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3Dshowcase%2B22%26x%3D15%26y%3D14%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item_942194&id=942194
  8. So Showcase4 man, looking forward to your 7.5+ . . . and perhaps an identity change to Showcase-4 It's not taken yet I think showcase4 has been taken by a board member Steve. How about Showcase4kid or Showcase4man.
  9. (thumbs u I bet you received something well worth the transaction.
  10. So Showcase4 man, looking forward to your 7.5+
  11. At least you had a complete copy for Howard I bet. I bought a coverless in the late 80's and sold it in the CBG want list market place ads in the early 90's for $200.00. The buyer was extremely happy. The 6.0 is your sweet spot and one helluva book.
  12. I would rate SC22 a hold and prices should stabilize from here. I was surprised by the strong price on the 8.0 since the last 8.5 sold for almost $21K. The 5.5 with decent PQ sold for $3100 and one to two year ago sold between $3300-4500. In addition, Overstreet finally moved up the value of SC22 this year two reflect it's lead over BB28. Also, SC4 should reflect that as well in the future guide. The 8.5 sold for $20,250 (trust me ) but the one prior to that (November 2011 i believe) sold for $31,000+..... with the huge rarity in higher grade, i just think that's the type of volatility to expect. My 8.5 sold, by the way. Congrats on the sale. Was your 8.5 and all out cash deal or trade and cash?
  13. Congrats Bob! One of the nicest book for the assign grade out there. Love the centering, pedigree designation and PQ.

  15. I agree and it's always best to secure an upgrade copy then easily sell the low copy.
  16. Upgrade for you peewee22. and Bob. Yep, and the 1.8 goes to a starving Boardie as it just sold in the Forum! Everyone won. Love that 7.5 Rich Thanks Brannon. The 1.8 low grade you sold don't come up often and I wasn't surprise in sold so quickly. Glad it went to a good home.

  19. You let it slip away. At least it's still in the circle. I'm loving the new and improved signature line!! No kidding, that is an awesome Showcase 4 and he's been hiding it Not to mention the stunning AF15........So, Richard, you advertising all these books because you're decided to start selling Thanks all. Just displaying these cool toys. (thumbs u I have to say, the AF15 gives me quite a high looking at it. Rich has one of the most diverse collections on the Boards. Very humbling to look at his sig line and the books in it. That's so kind of you. I guess the collection is not to shabby, but there are folks with some serious cool books.

The SC22 6.0 WP is still my favorite book.
