Which 5.5 are we talking about? Clink auction $3400 Darn there goes another grand Now I really hope the movie is tremendous Interesting. I was high bid up until the last day and it ended lower than I expected. Looks like Feb/March auction bargains are holding true as in past years. Yeah, last year Showcase 22 did dip around this time and this week two more 6.0 magically appeared and spoiled my 5.5 party and everyone else. . Before the two 6.0 appear (not NIkelspot copy) I was hoping for low $4K and my estimation went to mid 3K to high 3K when those copies appeared in the market. A lot of items auction this week for sure.

No I did not bid on it. Strong price. I was a "playa" until about the midway point, then I stepped aside and let the folks with the budget for this book do their thing unfettered by wanna-be's. It's really starting to look like that Savannah 6.0 was a bit of a deal. I dropped out of that game because I figured it'd go too high for the grade (being a popular new ped). But seeing what this 8.0 went for (almost triple what the 6.0 Savannah sold for) maybe that was my best shot. I have mention somewhere in the club that the FMV of a 6.0 is around $7-8K, perhaps a bit higher now. Yeah, the Savannah would done well for you. , but there will be another.

Me too. I love seeing those first previews of covers or characters. That would make a great thread here............. First time I saw a copy of Action 13 with that ad, I didn't buy it because the dealer pointed out that the book had the wrong interior (overstreet said the ad was in #14). What an honest dealer. Love that centerfold and if anyone has a spare...love to have one framed. Very honest dealer who didn't realize Overstreet was wrong. I was going to buy it anyway (for a hundred bucks) but got distracted because my kid wanted to go look at something else. Meant to come back but forgot the booth # This must have been in the early 1970's OSPG?
