  1. Dang! "Your cracked that puppy open". Nice grade/PQ and I see you are loving it.
  2. No but a half a dozen are. SC22, AF15, TOS 39, JIM 83 are still hot but somthing else will be the it thing for next year. The thing about the SC22 run is that we only pulled one high grade book out of woodworks. I would have thought more would have appeared. BTW- How in the world is this book still ranked below Flash 105 in the Top Ten Silver Age books? It is more important, more valuable, and more rare and I am a Flash guy. SC22 is scarce compare to most SA Marvels. If SC22 was not scarce as these counterparts, the prices would not have been this high. Only one SC22 above 7.0 surface since last year fall which is the Mound City copy. It has been very well documented that any copies above 5.0 is where in become scarce. For some of the long time SC22 specialist like Gator, kimik, peewee22, greegreece, Krytospidey, and I (not to mentioned others) have stressed 6.0+ has been where it has been so difficult to locate. It took me many years to find any raw copies above 6.0+. One of the few high grade copy with great PQ was the 6.0 ow/w which Mark Wilson have offered a few years back. I have spoke to him that day when the auction ended and he and I was amazed by the high price it ended. I still didn't believe the hammer price and thought that was just one sale and it was not a trend. Fortunately, I've found my 6.0 white pager just months after the 6.0 Mark sale, which I had the pleasure to see it out of it's shell. I believe this is the best preserved copy in the world. It has great snow white pages even greater than most of my other white pager comics. Flash 105 has been doing quite well lately. There has been some strong prices. The prices hasn't moved much the last five years, but I was astounded when my 6.0 ow sold for over $2500 in CL last month and the not to mention the 8.0 sold for $5620. I know you are a Flash guy and may be biased, but to compare SC22, we should compare it to SC4. Many of us use the OSPG as a tool, so I would not pay to much to the ranking there.
  3. I agree. That could have been one of the factors. Let's see how the trend will be when more copies come out of the wood works.
  4. I see similar markings on a SC22...well at least the BB28 shows it's originality. (thumbs u
  5. That's a sweet looking copy for the grade. Congrats. Congrats! Beautiful she is.
  6. Once you get started, it will be another one then another one. Great Spidey.
  7. Whoever won the 6.0 ow, got a great deal. Recently, with a 6.5 ow sold for $6500 and a 5.5 ow/w for $4300. I was astonish of the low price on this copy since it had a great eye appeal . I know how you feel. This is a great copy for you, and it slipped away. Think about it this way, you'll strike it again with comics next time and share with us.
  8. ComicLink August 2010 results: Avengers 1 7.5 ow $6300 Avengers 1 7.0 ow $4000 Avengers 1 6.5 ow $3001 Avengers 4 8.5 white $2855 Avengers 4 7.0 crm/ow $976
  9. Very nice tortoise. One of the best Spiderman books to get.
  10. Nice!!! (thumbs u Nice! ...so 30 years ago (1980) it cost you probably less than $100. Great return.
  11. Just alot of GL 1 love going on here people.... Thanks...are you going after SC22 too? It's on my list of top 3....along with Hulk 1 and B&B 28. - With the hype and prices to match, I am waiting a bit before I get serious about getting a copy. Not sure where my grade/price range is yet....I know it won't be 6.0 ! In summer 2009, SC22 was parabolic alright. Patience and I know you will find that copy <3
  12. Lets see... you had SC22, FF1, and seen many AF15 out of it's shell.
  13. It's such a liquid book right now...future new movie hype.

  15. Indeed. Most Marvel Westerns from 1959-1962 are impossbly rare... But I'm guessing he's thinking "Superhero"... He said Silver Age Marvel "keys", not "Superheroes" (gee, that's fun! ) Hence the "I'm guessing" qualifier...I'm nothing if not a CYAer.... Doofus. And thanks for spilling the beans on RK #17...now I'll NEVER be able to upgrade my G/VG copy. (For the record, he also said first appearances, which TTA #35, DD #7, St #101, etc, aren't. ) This one is technically SA.....1957......and rare.....try to find one in ANY grade. GOD BLESS.... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Black Rider Rides Again # 1 Those Atlas books are just so darn scarce.
  16. Just alot of GL 1 love going on here people.... Thanks...are you going after SC22 too?
  17. I normally don't mind the stamp, but this stamp bothers me a little. Hey, don't get me wrong, locating a SC22 6.0+ is quite difficult. The Comiclink 6.0 is a better choice. http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fsearch.asp%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3Dshowcase%2B22%26x%3D9%26y%3D10%26ItemType%3DCB%23Item_856469&id=856469
  18. That s a great price for a 4.5. Picture?
