  4. Whatever happened to Zarrko the omarrow man anyway? or dare I ask....whatever happened to the man of omarrow?
  5. +1, absolutely agree -1 I disagree. I watched the show yesterday but I wll still be recording it on Hallloween because the quality of the video I watched wasn't that good and I want to see it on something other than a 18 inch computer monitor. It's going to air on halloween anyway. Many parents will be taking there kids out for trick or treating so I expect that the first episodes rating could be pretty low. Another thing. It will take a little time for woman to gain interest in this show. I told my wife and daughter about it and all they are thinking is "zombies? Thnx but I'll pass." because they have seen zombie movies and don't expect anything different. I am hoping that word of mouth will influence others to watch.
  6. I like that. Maybe Kirkman will run it in his letters page! go on, you know you want to.
  7. I'm so far into this thread the original poster has probably given up on it already, but if you are still there you need to realize that CGC grading is different then overstreet grading, and it takes a little while to learn the differences. When I sent my first batch of books in I expected higher grades as well. I have a Marvel Mystery 47 that looks like a 8.5 but was graded 6.5 because the back cover is dirty. That's a big difference in value. At first I was disapointed but the more I learned about their grading system the more I understood that they have no hidden ajenda. Its just the way they do things. I'm sure there are many people on these boards with similar stories. Here is my Marvel Mystery,
  8. I don't know if anyone would be interested, but I came accross this Walking Dead comic on eBay with a production error. The seller is overhyping it but he has no reserve and he started the bid at .99 cents. 9. And as an aside, you were simply wrong. Pointing this out is not 'smack talking'...it is simply pointing that, er, you were wrong. I think he might be refering to comments like this: "For the love of christ, now I understand why Sal is starting nonsense threads with allcaps and no punctuation. Not that his threads before had any great comic topics being discussed, but at least they were written in proper English. Look what you've driven him to" It's fine to correct someone if they're wrong about something but in my humble opinion comments like that aren't necessary to the topic are they? It was an amusing rant and it wasn't directed to anybody in particular and it wasn't 'smack talking' about anybody's collection. If you can't take this sort of thing, you shouldn't be on the internet. But the comment wasn't really necessary and that was my point. I'm not choosing sides on the subject as there are more important things in life .I was just showing an example of what may have offended him.

  12. The one currently on ebay sold for $2K last time, and now is sitting at some silly price. There are three 9.9's out there (two of which are SS). The owner of those two doesn't seem to want to let them go any time soon. http://cgi.ebay.com/THE-WALKING-DEAD-CGC-9-9-TOP-CENSUS-1-1-AMC-TV-SERIES_W0QQitemZ250544631715QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3a559fafa3 Quick! Someone tell me the difference between asking $8,000 and getting $8,000? Or...Quick! Someone tell me the difference between a 9.8 and a 9.9!
  13. Wow I found myself so cought up in this thread that I ate a whole big box of whoppers without realising. I think i'm gonna be sick. Maybe if I wash it down with beer I'll feel better. Its worth a shot.
