  1. I do believe I did, but without looking up my receipts (buried in my tax folders), I couldn't say for sure. It really was a beautiful copy. Still have it listed as sold under my "notable sales" link. It won't be there too much longer though. New site launches 2023. It's interesting to see where the prices on many of the books still listed here, have risen to. https://www.timelessicons.com/notable-sales
  2. My next few batches are likely going to the competition for grading. I'd rather see a slight reduction in value than grades getting knocked down because quality control seems to be at an all time low and books are being damaged by the very same group that is responsible for preserving them.
  3. Hulk 1 cgc 7.0 48k Showcase 4 cgc 7.5 62k More Fun Comics 73 6.5 70k Strange Tales 110 9.4 Northland 49k Fantastic Four 48 cgc 9.8 42,500 Honorable mention... X-men 12 cgc 9.8 Pac coast 12k
  4. you know that's been my Achilles heel for years and it's definitely true but cars make life more enjoyable. This last toy was my dream car so going foward, I'll be concentrating my efforts to book building once again and this car will be staying with me for quite a while.
  5. What I wouldn't pay for a time machine...the list of books I have sold to fund new cars is insane. What's worse is that I still can't help myself.
  6. This price is including it as well. The book sold for 34k plus the 15% BP. You are right in that it still exceeded the CC price, although only by about $550.00
  7. I thought the cbcs sale was on the low side to begin with. I was expecting it to have been closer to 30k. The discount is expected for sure. I think when it comes to bigger keys, that gap is definitely stronger. More risk when regrading perhaps.
  8. a 9.8 variant just sold at 40k+. https://www.comicconnect.com/item/952587 I wonder if the one currently listed on Heritage will be similar.
  9. Do U.K price variants count? Just bought it last night so it will take a bit to cross the pond. Single highest.
  10. Not much out here in Newport RI as far as good silver age back issues. About an hour or so away though, Superworldcomics has quite a bit of bronze/silver/gold and they are well kept. I do believe you need to call Teddy V for an appointment first. Most of the LCS around here are usually stocked with bronze to current.
  11. Posted it in "what's new in your silver age collection". Grabbed it last night. I'm guessing a fellow boardie posted it for sale and I'm very happy they did.
  12. Acquired this one last night. Been waiting for a while to find a nicely centered copy with a decent spine. I even got the white string in the pic for free!
  13. Mine goes on the chopping block next month as well. Nice result today btw.
  14. Thanks for the heads up. I just checked it out as well.
  15. Didn't buy it because of the upcoming movie. The movie just helped a few nice copies surface and its been on the list for years in high grade but couldn't find a copy that I wanted. Really happy with this one though. Now if I could just find a nicely centered 9.4 # 5.
  16. Wondering if that Hulk 1 9.0 sale of 490k will end up hitting GPA at some point. It was a ComicConnect sale as well. It has been a while since the sale closed. (fixed price) https://scoop.previewsworld.com/Home/4/1/73/1014?articleID=256289
  17. Great. Thanks for answering that. There were some pretty impressive sales last night and some really nice books.
