  1. Edited the 2 scuffs out until it gets a new case and since its only going into my collection anyway.
  2. At least there were a lot of others here that had helpful info. Sometimes though..you get those scenarios where "my stuff is cool but your sucks" kind of comments.
  3. Thank you for the assistance. I wasn't aware it was someone else's work. I wasn't expecting much but had I offered it to someone directly, I wanted to present a fair asking price, rather than something way out of left field. I figured by now, it might have been worth a bit more but I guess not. Luckily, I didn't buy it for a flip. Thanks again.
  4. I wasn't asking for a bashing on my lowly piece of art but I guess that's what I got. As I said, I don't collect art but I like Deadpool and it was cheap at the time so I bought it from a friend. I figured I was going to possibly place it up for auction soon and wanted to get an idea on people more educated in OA than I was. Perhaps I should have titled the thread " how much is my garbage art worth".

  6. Hello fellow boardies I was looking for an estimated price on this piece. I've had this page for years and I was thinking about listing it for sale. Since I only buy art when I see something come along that I like, rather than an investment, I'm not too sure where this would land. Any educated guesses would be appreciated. (first ongoing series) Deadpool # 33, page 16 by Gus Vasquez.
  7. It can be frustrating to receive a book that doesn't look as nice in hand. I'd suggest always asking for better scans before buying if you have any doubts or concerns that the book might have defects that you just might not be able to make out in their pics. There have been plenty of 9.8 books that had no business passing as even 9.6 copies. There's at least one thread on the forums that show some serious flaws that many high grade books have been given in recent times. As far as selling to someone else, Its nice to hear that you wouldn't want to pass that on to someone else without pointing these things out, since there are more people out there that do some shady selling. As long as you post the book and point out things like "small spine ticks" or what ever minor flaws it has and you provide good pics, then you've done your job and its now in the hands of the buyer to be responsible and make sure they pay attention to what they are buying. There are several good sellers here on the boards and there are quite a few dealers out there that are very honest when it comes to their products being sold. Bob Storms from Highgradecomics and Greg Reece from Reececomics.com come to mind. A good example of that is, Reece always points out when a book has been pressed before grading and a lot of buyers find that to be relevant information. Bob Storms always makes buyers aware of any writing, tears or date stamps if it applies to said book and is as honest as they come. Perhaps sell that copy with a good description and buy one that you feel better about. Good luck with it though and welcome to the boards.
  8. There was only 1 9.4 on the census until the new "Promise" copy came along. I think It will absolutely crush 6 figures with ease IMO. On the 5.5...I didn't see it on there but considering very few copies have been up for sale until very recently, its anyone's guess. If Heritage was easier to purchase from, I'd be all over that 9.4.
  9. Ultimate Fallout 4 djurdjevic variant cgc 9.8 is now $ 25,000.00 on the GPA.
  10. I never seem to find comics at garage sales/yard sales. Congrats on your pickups !
  11. As the OP said, top 10s are always changing. Had to update it. Great thread. It's nice to see so many beautiful books from fellow boardies.
  12. Do you by chance, have an ST126 cgc 9.8 copy? I'd love to upgrade my 9.6 and I'll save you the time of waiting for a possible upcoming movie appearance. $$$
  13. Yep. Him and Dormammu are on the top of the list for me. I'd really love to see Dormammu come back. Super-Skrull if done right, could be amazing.
  14. Just posted a group shot in "group shot" GA thread but they qualify for a spot here too. Most are here but a few haven't shipped out to me yet.
  15. Thank you. I was looking for delete and apparently, "Hide" was sitting right there staring at me.
  16. A few of these haven't arrived so I haven't had the chance to update some scans. My Shazam/Capt Marvel Golden Age collection.
  17. Thor 140. First Growing Man. The Stimuloid used by Kang and built by the Kosmosians. I'm guessing he could surface at some point, while doing Kang's bidding. Not the next big bad, but possibly an upcoming villain.
  18. I've never seen that one. Great cover. Congrats.
